Hey, it's hard! I've been bitten by almost all of mine at least once, but even then, I have this one who bites me almost every time I handle her...which isn't often, because I know she's nippy, so I'm always nervous handling her! It's okay; you'll slowly get back to normal handling again. :-]

What odors are you talking about? If it smells bad in there, it probably needs to be cleaned.... You don't want to use normal odor-eliminators; probably not good for the snake.

I get mine from LLLreptile.com. Their prices aren't the cheapest, but their mice/rats are vacuum-packed and never gross in any way (frozen urine, etc.). I highly recommend them.
