    A quick hello

Hey Raychel, from what it sounds like, the people at the store are talking about Calci-Sand and that is a HUGE no no. Unlike what they say, it is not digestible in dragons and when it gets into their system it just starts building up in there and can cause impaction. The safest form of sand is...

New Crestie Girl in the family!

Oh cool. :) No Derrick doesn't tell me much, he forgets, lol. He did tell me you got a new crestie though. He mentioned something about you and the reptaid and I wasn't sure what he was talking about. Did he give you some or did you guys end up buying it from Chameleons NW? I love that stuff...

New Crestie Girl in the family!

That's awesome! I would like to build one, but I figure getting one of those exoterra glass or screen ones would be more economic and time efficient for me .. lol. Yah definitely let's hang out soon, I'll chat with D about next weekend - which will be my b-day weekend, so we'll be going out one...

So do I get to buy a baby off of you when you do breed them? :) Derrick was telling me you got a girl now, I was like ... that's not fair, I need to add a gecko to the family. Hehe. TTYL

ok so here is nando pics

Looks to me like he's going through a full body shed and some up on his head too. So that means to me that once he sheds he should brighten up, although his coloring is lovely even now. He looks like he'll have lots of oranges and yellows and I want to say like there are some sidebars there too...

Anyone interested in this? It's really sad.

Hey guys, doesn't look like anyone on here took them on. The ad is now expired, so I can't say what happened. :( I hope they found good, knowledgeable homes.

    Purchasing Dubia Q

Thanks so much for your guys' help! I'm a lot more relieved. I'm always so paranoid! Can't wait to get them. They were such a good price too! That's why I love craigslist, you can find the greatest deals if you watch! 30-40 adult colony with possible juves (not sure) plus new...

    Did I spoil her?

Well, kind of like with our 5 month old, you sometimes just have to do it the way you can and if they don't eat, they don't eat. If they are healthy they will get the point pretty quick because they'll get hungry and they'll have to do it your way. I know it sounds harsh, but I totally know what...

    Purchasing Dubia Q

Sounds like that's what I'll do seeing as they come with a rubbermaid because the girl hates touching them. LoL Me too. Is it more likely that these would carry more parasites than say those from BestRoach? I know roaches have fewer parasites, but I guess I don't think I'd be able to see any...

    Purchasing Dubia Q

Hey, I already have a colony that has been breeding, which I purchased from BestRoach. I added about 15 adult females to it about two weeks ago from a local breeder whom I trust. Tomorrow, however, I am going to pick up 30-40 additional adults from someone I found on craigslist. Can Dubia be...

    Feeding Problem

She eats her greens in the AM typically - after they've dried out from the previous morning. She doesn't eat much of them, but will munch on them once a day. She has stopped doing that from what I know. She usually wakes me up in the morning because she's so loud munching those crispy greens...

    Feeding Problem

Hey, so this is our little girl's info: Age: 4 months Length: 11 1/2 " Cool Side: 79.9 Basking: 103.0 (basking spot is a piece of twisted drift wood set vertically, so she can go up or down however much she needs to, to get the proper temp) Lights: Reptisun 10.0 and floodlight as heat lamp...

    butterworms good staple?

Are butterworms maybe being confused with waxworms, which are really fattening and only for treats? I heard butterworms were a pretty okay staple as long as they got a little variety as well. Hmmm.

    Worms with my crickets

I had that happen too. They explained it to me that it was probably because the distributor breeds other things besides crickets and sometimes they get into the boxes? (sounds weird to me, but whatever) I fed the crickets and flushed or squished the worms (whichever was a better stress reliever...

    BD Needs New Home!!

Yah, I saw that poor little guy on there. I'm in Milwaukee, so if someone is interested in adopting him via rescue train, I could at least pick him up/my b/f could (weekends only for me). Don't really think I can do much driving seeing as I don't have a car (go to school in Madison, b/f in MKE)...

    Buying Greens for the Week

Well I know when we buy ours, we go to Pick'n'Save (which is gross, I hate ours, but the collards and squash aren't bad) and they sell by weight even though they are bundled in large amounts, so my b/f and I just pick up pieces of it that we want, or remove parts from different bundles. Can't...

    New cages built!

Do you have any problems keeping your temperatures right? I know this has been gone over before with other people about stacking, but I'd love to do a stackable, but I'm concerned that the upper cage would be too warm. Is two stacked really a big issue? Do large enough vents prevent this issue?
