thanks for the replies - very reassuring as for his appetite; it's now the best it's been since he was a baby although he still won't move for it, just sits and waits for prey to come to him :P He's started to eat more veg too :)

Been Fighting Pinworms for 3 Months. Advise/Experience

When Trevor was badly infested I sterilised his viv with a steam cleaner every day - once a fortnight isn't really enough, I still sterilise once a week when he is clear of parasites

    Beardie only eats larvae

my vet told me to try waxies when Trevor was off his food - biggest mistake I ever made with him!!!! never, ever feed a beardie wax worms took me ages to get him off them - he finally ate phoenix worms and then began to eat locusts, now he will eat locusts mainly with a few super worms and...

    metacam

Haven't been around for a while but some of you may remember Trevor - he was really poorly last year with parasites and I had to hand feed him for ages before he finally picked up. Trevor has recently had a routine fecal done and had parasites including coccidia again so he was treated with...

Been Fighting Pinworms for 3 Months. Advise/Experience

Trevor took ages to recover from parasites when he was treated and he got really lethargic, stopped eating and seemed to prefer not to bask at all. He was badly infested and had courses of panacur, baytrill, baycox and flagyll one after the other, all of which can knock their systems off...

    Ozma lazy, not eating

if you are at all worried get a fecal done - all these symptoms can be caused by parasites, runny poo is a classic one she needs a basking light, an ordinary bulb will do for that, a heat pad is not good for a dragon, they can burn themselves easily as they don't feel the heat from underneath...

    Discoloration

I think he means at his age he probably isn't going to go straight into another shed, even if he's growing it won't be at such a rate that shedding is anywhere near continuous like it can be when they are young - I didn't realise how old he was when I suggested that

    Discoloration

sometimes a little does get left behind - you can actually just see a patch between Trevor's eyes and this picture is labeled 'just shed' - bathing and a soft toothbrush are worth a try it may also be that he's going straight into his next shed - there was a point where Trevor was shedding...

    Discoloration

Hasnt had a bite today**UPDATE Please Help **

settling in can take some babies 2-3 weeks and they can stop eating altogether for quite a while, if he's not eating after a couple of week then it might be a good idea get a reptile vet to check him over. for a while when he was settling in Trevor would only eat when I wasn't there - try...

    Subadult feeding questions

Trevor had a lot of problems with mbd (from birth) and parasites - I spent about 4 months hand feeding him last year he was ill for so long. It means he has been slow to grow but he seems about the same as your beardies and is now weighing in at about 200g so I'm quite happy with him in that...

When to change food quantity based upon age?

I keep seeing this issue with basking temps coming up. In the UK most people, and my vet, recommend 110-115, especially for younger growing beardies as it aids digestion and I find that Trevor actually prefers it slightly higher still, he is loads more active around 117F I know I've been told...
