    I tried jut a plain white bulb, it was reaching 70c so we hooked the dimmer upto it and it then dimmed the bulb far too much so im back to the red bulb as it seems to work better for me and thunder seems more than happy with it.hes about 9inches away from the UVB at the minute

    wow, I didnt even realise that hand waving was through stress!!!.thankfully thunder has only done the waving thing twice (the first night I bought him home) he no longer does this and im now hoping thats a good sign.......thunder likes to sit and look at me too! :)

    yeah exactly.I dont want thunder stressed either but it seems that no matter what I try to do, he gets these markings on his belly regardless......think it may just be a baby thing, hes still a little bit jumpy at times and that might be causing it
