    Palm Dates in Florida

I think they can eat a lot of things being true omnivores and should be offered variety of food in captivity. Some things shouldn't be fed as often and as much than others. As for dates, I'm not sure if it's good for them in large quantity, but I do know that most fruits are deficient in...

I want this Desert Red to get back to his roots.

They don't eat ants. Only a few species of animals do. :-) It can actually harm the bearded if you feed them ants because ants have formic acid which can be poisonous if eaten in large amount and they can give one heck of a wallop with their stinger. I

    Squash

You can grow many of these foods yourself. Seeds are available at the hardware stores and plant nursery. The veggies that you grow yourself are far more nutritious because they are fresh right out of the garden.

    Water?

    Squash

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't keep it in the freezer for too long. 6 months would be the longest I keep it in the freezer. I try to give my guys the freshest produce whenever possible. Try going to the farmers' market; the produce last much longer from there than from supermarkets. :-)

    feeding

Mealworms are not good for babies and juveniles; they have a lot of chitin which is indigestible and lead to intestinal blockage if eaten too much. A better choice would Phoenix worms, small crickets, small silk and horned worms. The best one to feed is Phoenix worms--I've been told--but you...
