No it shouldnt change. Unless you want to breed then you would change the time so the dragon would think its going through summer fall winter then hibernate then spring which is when the breed in nature. So unless that is what your intentions are no they times dont need to change.

I would say to just tape down some paper towels or news papers. I wouldnt suggest not taping ti down because the crickets would all find a way under the paper and it would be a big hassle. Also you could have a smaller container and once it gets really messy put the crickets in the smaller...
