My last beardie, Draco (RIP), would spread her fingers out wide when I tried to get the halter over her arms. Too smart! I gave up and decided lizards may not be well suited for leashes.

Nice lookin' dragon! How do you get him to open his mouth like that? Mine will only open a little bit when too hot. I had a Draco. She was my sweetest girl. She died of liver failure in Nov. She had a short life but was sooooo loved.

Thank you. We do miss Draco. This is the first time I've really been able to look at pictures of her for long. I know I should enjoy the memory of her though. We have Odin in our lives now- my husband is snuggling him now as I type!

That's so nice! I can't wait until the weather will allow me to go outside with my Odin. I take him out for just a minute or two, but I'm not a lizard and can't do 108 degrees. He gets soooo mad when I bring him back in right away! I live in AZ. Having congestive heart failure makes it even more...

Yea, thanks for the responses everyone. I think Odin has settled down. He probably was just exploring. I think he likes getting a bit more light in the viv.He hasn't been mad at me today. He's still my BFF!

It's just been one day yet. He may get used to it. It just makes me want to cry when I see him trying to claw his way out. It would be awesome if we could figure out a way that he could have an outside viv that connects to his inside viv via a tunnel with a flap door!!! I spoil him, but I guess...

We cut a 18X10 section out of the back of Odin's viv and screened it. We moved the viv so his screened window lines up with a house window. We figured he'd enjoy the view. Gives him something else to look at besides us! He's pushing on the screen, clawing at it, bobbing his head - doing...

I need a lamp stand that will expand above the limit of 39" of the Zoo Med large lamp stand. Does anyone know of one on the market? I'm considering that I will just have to build something. In that case, any suggestions on specific building plans? Thanks.
