Yeah I've been lookin...can't seem to find anything other than feeder anoles...no one that actually breeds em for pet purposes...

Other than pet stores, where can I get anoles? Are there ppl who actually breed them? I just wanna make sure I get healthy ones. I went thru all the work of building an awesome enclosure, I don't want them dying right away!

well, first, congratulations on ur new beardies! ok...im being nice when i say this but i see lots of things wrong...bearded dragons generally shouldnt be housed together, especially male and female combo...the male will try over breed the female and stress her out terribly...and its also not...

for younger and smaller dragons u want the basking surface temps around 105....some go to 110...i say 105 because that way if ur temps jump a little bit then it still wont be too hot...ya know? as for the cool side, in the 70's is ok...like 72-75 is ideal i think...if ur dragon is an adult, 95...

as long as it doesnt get below 65 degrees at night he should be just fine...if it drops below that, u might want to get a ceramic heat emitter.. they give off heat but no light, which is what u want...if theres any kind of light, it disturbs their sleep and can actually cause them to get sick or...

ur uv light only needs to be on during the day while the basking light is on...i have my lights on a timer..13hrs of light-basking, uv...and 11hrs of sleepy time!- no lights whatsoever....hope that helps u out!!

he had about an hour long bath tonite while i cleaned up his tank...he pooed, was a cute little turd tho compared to his normal ginormous doo doos...

so i may have figured out the problem...i have 2 boys, 2 seperate tanks, and 2 seperate uv bulbs...one is older than the other... i thought that steve had the older one...no, it was gus..the tube was about 7-8 months old...so that may have been the cause of him not eating... both steve and gus...

so back to the whole point of this thread..... safe to say that gus is brumating...hes been napping the last 2 days...what a life... sleepin all day... :roll:

hopefully thats all it is...tho he is quite young for that i think?? he'll be a year in december...and hes still active like he always is, doesnt really sleep except when its lights out at night...and he hasnt really lost any weight...maybe a really really really mild brumation??

so my boy gus is not eating lately..not a thing..for 3 wks...he wont eat his supers..tried hornworms, he bit it and then it wiggled so he spit it out..wont eat butters either...hes always eyeing his food down like he wants it, glass dances, and then when i do try feed him, he wants nothing to do...

first of all, thank u for drooling over my viv... :D and ur right, i made the ledges the same way u make the wall...just make sure u put some support underneath for when ur dragons are on there...no bueprints for it, sorry...my fiances dad made the whole thing pretty much, hes a master...
