    RIP Pat

Yesterday, I lost my baby, Pat :( She was almost 8 years old. It was really unexpected and I'm still in shock. I just wanted to thank everyone who has corresponded with me over the years and helped me brainstorm last year when she was having egg laying issues. This site helped me learn so much...

Strange Infertile Egg Situation-7 year old dragon

Well...there were actually about 3-6 mushed together in one big egg, and she laid another regular big one yesterday morning. That happened the last time before she completely stopped laying and the vet and I think she had a calcium absorption issue. What happened was I moved from nj to long...

Strange Infertile Egg Situation-7 year old dragon

She did it! She laid her eggs! It was so weird that the laying was so far apart, but I'm just glad the whole ordeal is over. Thanks for your responses, everyone! -Julia

Strange Infertile Egg Situation-7 year old dragon

She didn't eat anything yesterday, BUT, she started digging like crazy and made a huge hole yesterday. I'm going to check in a little bit to see if anything happened. This has been one hell of an egg laying season lol

Strange Infertile Egg Situation-7 year old dragon

He didn't mention if they seemed to be fully shelled or not, so I guess it's possible that they weren't fully shelled. He appetite has slowed a bit-she didn't seem to want any crickets yesterday. Is this life threatening?

Strange Infertile Egg Situation-7 year old dragon

unfortunately, I dont have the xrays-they were digital and were shown to me on the computer. I heard that about fully shelled eggs too, and that's why I'm so confused.

Strange Infertile Egg Situation-7 year old dragon

She is able to walk, run, and climb normally. It almost looks like she's having trouble seeing the crickets or something. She gets excited about them, then cocks her head weirdly to the side, sticks her tongue out, and completely misses. Also, what happens to them when they do reabsorb the...

Strange Infertile Egg Situation-7 year old dragon

Hey everyone, Thanks for all of your responses. She is in a 75 gallon terrarium, and I have thoroughly checked everything and I can't find any eggs. I use a reptisun 10 uvb light, though I think it's in need of changing soon. Her appetite has remained the same, but she is still having trouble...

Strange Infertile Egg Situation-7 year old dragon

hmm, I felt like I went through it pretty well...I did it by hand though, so is it possible that they could have been crushed or something? My vet is pretty confused about the situation.

Strange Infertile Egg Situation-7 year old dragon

Hello, My name is Julia and I used to post a few years ago about my bearded dragon, Pat, when I first got her. I've had her since she was a baby and is currently 7 years old. Every summer since she was an adult, she would lay infertile eggs (she is my only beardie and has never been in...

    Single Female beardie laid eggs?!?!?

I do have a lid but it's really, really thick plastic. I think she'll start digging tomorrow. She got it around dinner time- I was home terribly sick today so I recruited my dad to gather the supplies haha She tries to dig in her tile all the time so I'm guessing she'll love the sand. Thanks...

    Single Female beardie laid eggs?!?!?

i will definitely pick that stuff up. does the lay box have to be covered so it's dark? does it have to be in the basking area or the cold side?

    Single Female beardie laid eggs?!?!?

so, do i need to temporarily take her out of her enclosure until she lays all the eggs? it's a 75 gal tank, but will not fit a kitty litter box. and what kind of sand should i use? it's calci sand and it was the only sand i found in the store...

    Single Female beardie laid eggs?!?!?

ok, i posted nervously without reading so i apologize for adding the multiple messeges on the same topic...can someone confirm that these are, in fact, unfertilized beardie eggs?? i will go get a rubbermaid container and moist sand so she can feel safe laying the rest if that is the case.

    Single Female beardie laid eggs?!?!?

My 4 year old female beardie has lived alone her entire life. I've never had her near a bearded dragon, and she is the only one I've ever owned. I came back from vacation and saw two bright orange hard "urates" in the cage and I panicked thinking that she was having some bladder trouble...

Beardies as Therapy Animals-What do you think?

agreed. as long as you dont carry your pets in your mouth, i'm sure everything will be fine hahaha but back to the topic: does anyone have experience with therapy animals? i wonder if beardies could be an exception to the rule.
