How long does brumation generally last? Our beardie started acting lethargic like a couple of weeks ago. Doesn't seem very interested in and food. Seems like he just wants to Hull up under his bridge not close to his UVB. His set up got changed about a week before he started acting this way...

I think a lot of them tend to get this way, along with some others!

Just an idea for you, should you need to turn the lights on in the room before you think they want to be up. Hang a sheet or something over the front. We have four other varieties of lizards in the room that Mango is in so it’s next to impossible not to turn the light on when he’s sleeping...

What Karrie said, your UVB light is probably the most important thing you can supply for them. They will fail to thrive if you don’t have adequate lighting.

There is a reflector in the hood. It’s a 36” reptisun with a 10.0 bulb.

I made a holder for the UVB light fixture in Mangos terrarium. The terrarium is glass with screen covers on the top. Then the holder is made out of cut down pine 2x4. My question is does it need to be finished or sealed?

Our Mango LOVES them too! I’m so happy that we didn’t really have to coax him at all. One day he just started to eat them when we put them in his cage. Now he’ll pretty much just eat all the salad we put in for him.

We’ve put in a horse mat in our new to us enclosure, then put an under the sink mat on top of it. Any idea on how long to let the mat air out before putting our beardie in?
