    Newbie STILL having potential issues:

Hi So he loves his roaches. He eats them happily 2x per day. Probably about 7 roaches each time. And they don't get out. I am considering doing a habitat for the roaches but not sure how to breed them? He refuses crickets now altogether and is not so crazy about his greeens even though I do...

    Newbie Finally Some Success?

Thanks for all your help. He still may be out of sorts because of the medications. He used to eat the crickets but it's like since he saw the roaches he will eat nothing but. Kind of like my cat with temptations cat treats.

Ok so I bought BSFL and they are a no go, smaller crickets, no go. Eats very little salad...but when I get out the roach container he literally sprints over to his food dish and inhales them. I've tried everything and I have no idea how to get him to eat anything other than Dubia roaches. Is...

What are BSFL? the only grubs I've seen are mealworms and super worms. Basking temps are very good for sure (between 102-108). He was put on Ponazuril (spelling?) and Panacur suspension. My dude just loves his roaches - no idea why. He eats some greens but not as much as I'd like to see. I'm...

A step forward, a huge leap back. So Dart has been loving his Dubia roaches and scarfing the4m down. However, last night he clearly had a prolapse of something out of his rear end. I took him to the vet and %275 bucks later...he put it back in by himself but he has larvae in his stool. He's now...

    Newbie Finally Some Success?

I think mine is too young for every other day? He's under 5 months so I've been doing salad once a day, roaches 2x a day and a dry food in there just in case.

    Newbie Finally Some Success?

I think lighting is finally in a good place. Linear UVB bulb and two basking bulbs...one is 100W the other is 150W. Again today fed roaches and he ate at least 12 of them. Plus salad with baby kale and squash and carrots. He only eats salad when I'm not watching but he housed the roaches as soon...

    Newbie Finally Some Success?

Ok, finally a number! He's scarfing down 5 at a time a few times a day so I will give him 15 or as many as he can eat in 15 minutes. I just don't understand why he hates the crickets. But as long as they don't get out...the roaches are easier and escape the food bowl less. He hasn't been growing...

I did get a dish just like that today. The roaches stay in there, crickets obviously not so much. Should I just stop the crickets altogether? I didn't know they made smaller superworms but I'll check it out. I feed him 5 roaches at a time 2x per day but I think I need to up that.

    Newbie Finally Some Success?

Some of you may have seen my posts about my baby Beardie not eating and not enjoying his crickets etc. Some of you suggested the dubai roaches but I was SUPER hesitant to bring them into the house (based on the number of crickets I find running around) - I was sure they'd get out and we'd be...

    Newbie STILL having potential issues:

Also today I moved the temp probe from the sand under his basking spot to the actual stone he basks on and it may be too hot, it was coming in at 112/113 and I have noticed he is basking half on the rock and half off. Should I get rid of the hot bulb (the 150) and just keep the 100? or should I...

    Newbie STILL having potential issues:

Honestly I'm terrified to bring roaches into the house. I know it's good for him but based on the number of crickets I find loose in my son's room....roaches could be a disaster. Is there anything else similar? I thought spinach was ok but we use kale and collard greens way more often. I'll pull...

    Newbie STILL having potential issues:

So I believe, with help from this forum, we've finally gotten the lighting and tank situation where it needs to be. We have a 10.0 linear UVB and two basking spots, one is 100W, the other is 150W and the surface temp of those is close to 108 degrees. General tank temp on other side is...

    New Here With Questions

Thanks for the reply, I wish I could say its the wiring but the house was built in 2003 and my husband is excellent with electrical stuff so that's not it :( We have a power strip to handle all the lighting but I'm starting to wonder whether we need a different brand of linear light like you use...
