    hatchlings dying

I don’t know much about breeding or why the babies weren’t making it, but I learned a good recipe to feed weak/ small hatchlings who aren’t doing well from a really awesome breeder. I have rescued a lot of really sickly babies and this stuff is magic. Unflavored pedialyte Critical Care...

    Dwarf bearded dragon

Unfortunately, there are two “breeders” here that are very irresponsible. Anything that they cannot sell at a high price gets dumped at the shelter which doesn’t take reptiles so usually I end up with all of them and find homes for them. I’m hoping after these were seized along with other...

    Dwarf bearded dragon

Agreed… I have absolutely no idea if they are clutchmates. They came from someone who was definitely breeding only for profit. They were seized from her along with a lot of other babies and adults . The adults were mostly zeros and trans which from what I understand are not good to breed...

    Dwarf bearded dragon

Thanks! I also had no idea it could occur! They were rescued from the same breeder, so I think the dwarfism is probably a result of very poor breeding.

    Dwarf bearded dragon

Hi! I rescue bearded dragons, but I have never had a dwarf before. This little girl is a dwarf ( not rankins). I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them and how big they grow and any common health problems. She has been to the vet and looks great and eats well. She is a gorgeous...

    Are these guys dunners?

Hi guys! I just got a little baby and I’m wondering if she’s a dunner. The breeder listed her as a leatherback red translucent and she was the only baby with a funky pattern. She said she wasn’t sure if she was a dunner or if the parents carried for it. Now that i am looking, I’m thinking my...

    Time to go to vet?

Hi! It seems like you are doing everything you can. All I can say is increase the temperature which you are already doing. I think it’s a very good idea to take him in. It can’t hurt to see if there’s anything going on you’re not aware of.

    Rescue Silkie with stunted growth

Yes, I think part of his problem is that silkies are just in general not as healthy and weaker than regular or leatherbacks. The basking spot he seems to like and has several places to get out of the heat if necessary and chooses to stay basking. His UVB is a T8, and is placed 14 inches from the...

    Time to go to vet?

Hi! Sorry about the little guy, it’s always hard when they aren’t doing their best. 2-3 weeks is a long time. Does he have a UVB (lack of one can lead to digestion problems)? Also, a loose substrate could be causing impaction if you have one. Superworms can also lead to impaction if fed in high...
