I just want to be prepared for the worst....

I'm pretty new to bearded dragons myself so don't want to give any health advice, just wanted to say well done on taking her in and getting her the help she needs. She looks like she's in pretty rough shape but she does look alert so I'm crossing my fingers for you and her and hoping she can...

    Underweight

Thanks for the tips, I have tried cutting squash and veggies into all different kinds of shapes both hand feeding and not, I think she's getting full from the insects so I might cut back on them a little bit and see if she eats more salad

    Underweight

Hi everyone, It's been awhile since my last post so I'll give you some history. Rosie (approx 3 years old) was in really bad shape when we got her which was about 6 months ago. She was really underweight, dehydrated and covered in mites and not eating a lot then refusing to eat at all. We...

    What the vet said

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with her progress so far. I have a tub of mealworms that she refuses to eat which is strange as they used to be her favourite and I am currently growing silkworms. I tried her on BSFL about a month back and she didn't touch them, they only wriggle a little bit and she...

    What the vet said

Just an update on Rosie and I'm pleased to say its all good news. I never ended up having to give the antibiotics as she has been doing so well. Haven't seen a mite in ages so looks like that's not an issue any more either. She's eating so many woodies that I actually have to stop her as im...

    What the vet said

I have been offering water by drips on her nose but she never licks it and same for in the bath but she did drink heaps of water the first day I got her so as long as I keep offering it I know she'll drink when she's thirsty.

    What the vet said

Thank you for the advice. I decided to hold off on the meds as she ate really well again today, A few small pieces of strawberry, she did avoid her greens as usual but she ran straight for the plate which is a really good sign, she also ate about 8 woodies. I would get the ADV test through...
