Hey there, I ordered some silk worms and concerned if they end up turning into a moth. I live in ontario and would like to know if its safe to release them if they end up going through their metamorphosis.
I am feeding him superworms for protein and his mixture of greens. Which is Collard with a few strawberries on occasion, especially on days he doesnt want his salad.
I have a good temperature gradient its usually roughly 75-80 in the cool spot he also enjoys hid hide in the hot spot. Ive been planning on getting a larger hide which would work as well for basking, cause the tank is a little cluttered.
im asking this because its been a nightmare keeping crickets, they either escape or die in the quantities of 50 per 100 i purchase. Ive purchaed from a few different pet shops and its all the same thing.
Update, hes been pooping regularily and since i moved his light closer, hes been thermo regulating. Hes also running around the tank like crazy during the day
Thank you guys for all the information. I just tied some good rope so the light is just above the tank now, hopefullynthat will heat it up in the morning.
If hes not eating collard, should I try dandelion greens? I was going to feed him swiss charred, directed by the breeder, but when I did research it said they were calcium binders so I gave them away before i fed them to him.
He's being picky about it, i can give him 2 strips of collard greens before he turns his nose up at it. I bathe him twice a week and I spray his greens with a little water.
