    mealworms for Rankins?

Hi, Hey what a story! I had one who run away and returned after a month, but I live in the country and he probably had plenty to eat. It's a beautiful dragon but I don't think he's a Rankins to be honest... I'm no expert in Rankins but I've had bearded dragons for a few years now and I think...

    mealworms for Rankins?

TO be honest, neither do it! :D I just know they are two different species. I'm reading Wikipedia right now, and it seems that P. minor are actually quite big, bigger than P. Henrylawsoni anyway.

    Advice for feeding young rankins

Hi there, I'm new in this section of the forum. I also have a little Rankin's called Siobhan, but we think he's actually a male. S/He is over a year old, probably about 18-24 mo. I don't know because I got it from a guy who could not look after it anymore. We got it in Decvember nd he slept...

    mealworms for Rankins?

Thanks but one thing only: Rankin's aren't Pogona minor, they are Pogona Henrylawsoni. As far as I know, P. Minor is a different species and not usually kept/bred in captivity (although I know of one breeder).

Tiny 9 month old dragon... why?

Yesterday she had turned 10 month old. She weighed 25g and was about 20 cm in length. So maybe there was something wrong with her all along. God knows what took her.

Tiny 9 month old dragon... why?

This morning I saw your reply, Karree, and I went to take a picture of Blue, thinking she was probably ok because the issue with the eye was a lot less noticeable yesterday evening. And the bit over the eye was ok, but she was not. She'd been spitting blood, she had blood on herlips and she was...

Tiny 9 month old dragon... why?

Well now. Blue has been growing a bit, has certainly put on weight and is enjoying the sunmer, but this week ive noticed one of her eyes looks swollen. Not puffed out the way they do, but the supercilliar arch (?!) looks higher on one eye than on the other. The eye itself looks a bit sunken...

    Beardies being introduced to Colorado

Or even if they would survive. I think the topic is a very interesting one. In a similar vein, I think that some dogs, like bulldogs or other flatnosed dogs, would not survive long in the wild. THey can hardly breathe, poor things! Dragons would survive in Spain, I'm sure.

    skin issues: calcium deficit? vitamins?

By the way, bis eye has improved a lot, it's not swollen anymore but it seems to have a sort of whitish film on it that sometimes goes away when I put eye drops. But the orange iris is not quite visible.

    skin issues: calcium deficit? vitamins?

My free range dragon, Mr R, has had mild skin issues since he came to us a while ago. He is about 4 years old but has been with us a lot less than than, about a year and a half. He has alway had retained shed problems. Last winter, he went through a full shed after rubbing him coconut oil...

Tiny 9 month old dragon... why?

Well, I never thanked you for your replies. Yes, they were separated, but they could see each other (by the way, the third sister died suddenly a few weeks ago), so that is probably why Blue wasn't showing any signs of growth after the separation. Now her other sister is away, probably for good...

    FREE Range Dragon

Well, the place where he spends most of the day is a grapevine, he sometimes climbs on it and sometimes just sits in its green shade. It's in a sort of large raised bed with several random plants - mint, parsley, lentils, radish, wild stuff that just grows, and yes, he nibbles here and there...

    FREE Range Dragon

we too have free range dragons. Well, actually one dragon, our Mr R, who is 4 years old although he has been with us for a year and a half or so. He free ranges in the garden during the day, and at night he sleeps in his basket. In the winter, he brumated for three months, waking up here and...

Tiny 9 month old dragon... why?

Not anymore... I have Blue on her own now, in an effort yo ser if It was stress what was keeping her small. But that was two months ago and, although she has kept slowly growing, there isnt any visible change. They also spend most of the day in an outdoor pen (divided). They are all females, by...

Tiny 9 month old dragon... why?

I have this dragon. I got her since she was a few days old, from a friend, along with two of her siblings. They all shared the same cage, they all eat their greens and their worms and crickets regularly and with great enthusiasm. They all grew well... except for her. Blue is a leatherback trans...
