so from what i’ve seen on these forums, i feel like my gerald is at a good weight, but on the other, the large, often chubby beardies i see on social media can make it rather hard to judge. my male beardie, gerald, is about a year and a half old (i got him as a baby in May of 2018), about 18...

any suggestions for good regular bulbs (household bulbs, not heat bulbs or uvb - i have those already) to help light my beardie’s tank?? my uva/uvb lights aren’t putting off enough to significantly brighten the tank, so just looking for a good one to help it be brighter during the day.

any suggestions for a basking light? i’ve been checking various ones - zoomed, Exo Terra, etc - but all have mixed reviews, so not quite sure which to choose. i was thinking of going with something around 150w - if it ends up being too much wattage, i do have a temperature controller so it’ll be...

thank you all! i wasn’t compeltely aware of the differences between uva/uvb, and can now fix his tank so he has proper heating and lighting. <3

so i’m redoing my beardies setup in order to get better temps, and so i’m adding in basking lights along with his che’s. the problem, however, is i already have a uv light (reptisun 10.0), and most basking bulbs come with uv, and i don’t want to overload my lil guy with uv. are there any basking...

yes. i used to use heat/uv lights, then switched exclusively to che’s so it’s dark at night when his uv light turns off and doesn’t disturb his sleep.
