    Slight mouth gape

I recommend this fixture with this bulb, each sized to span two thirds of each enclosure.

    Slight mouth gape

Halogen or white spotlight- regardless it is not a UVB. A few more days should be OK but don't let it go too long. I recommend this fixture with this bulb, each sized to span two thirds of each enclosure.

Bad signs - Bloated, black beard, no appetite, etc.

He mentioned upthread "It's the 20" Reptisun T8 hood with the 18" 15 watt T8 Reptisun 10.0 UVB fluorescent bulb." OP- with a T8 bulb you really want to have it mounted inside the enclosure and not shining through the screen- lots of your precious UVB is being blocked by the screen material.

    Beardie too small??

If you have only had the non-growing one for three weeks I think it is normal for it not to be keeping up with the other one. It's likely had substandard care all of its life and it takes time for them to bounce back from that. The "Desert UVB & heat lighting kit by ZooMed" you referenced...

    Slight mouth gape

Are you referring to the Arcadia 75 Watt bulb that you mentioned? That is not a UVB bulb, that is a basking bulb. He needs a tube type UVB bulb as well. If I misunderstood I apologize- it's just that you only said "His basking light is the Arcadia 75 Watt bulb " and "The Arcadia is...

Help. Super Deep Breaths Through Mouth

If you fed her seven blueberries in one day she was probably spazzing out from an exceedingly high blood sugar spike. Blueberries are an occasional treat and should never be fed in this sort of quantity.

Bearded dragon seems terrified. Might be blind??

Reptile One UVB 10.0 comes in both a tube model T8 and a compact coil style bulb. If yours is the compact coil model I strongly urge you to replace it with a tube style bulb. Some of the compact coil models are widely acknowledged to cause eye irritation and inflammation.

    Are we spoiling Dr. Bombay?

That's just it- I don't want to foster complacency. I like all my animals to be eager eaters and over feeding is not the road to that. I allow my adult creatures to get hungry from time to time but don't think it is wise with a tiny baby. I'll calm down eventually

    Are we spoiling Dr. Bombay?

I got that. But my question is as many as he will eat on his own OR as many as I can get him to eat by hand feeding as well?

    Are we spoiling Dr. Bombay?

When Dr. Bombay arrived here on a Tuesday he was 15 grams. The following Saturday he was 13 grams. I freaked out at the loss of weight and doubled down to get as much food as possible into him. That was two weeks ago- yesterday he turned nine weeks old and was 26 grams. In the interim he...

    Something in the eye!

It can be completely normal for a nictitating membrane to be visible after eye irritation. Even if you got all the sand out the delicate tissue was still badly irritated and it takes time for that to heal. In the mean time the membrane comes out to protect the damaged tissue while it is healing...

How often to use D3 with a T5 UVB bulb

Yeah, I figure D3 once a week (ish) and frequent bulb replacement is key. Next time I will have more time to shop and will be able to hold out for the Arcadia 12%. And again, likely switch to the Repashy product in the future just because.

How often to use D3 with a T5 UVB bulb

Thank you. I didn't think I needed D3 either but then so many posters kept going on about it that I doubted my decision.

How often to use D3 with a T5 UVB bulb

Yes, I have calcium with no D3. My T5 HO is a Reptisun 10.0 under the mesh with a reflector. So do I need to use D3 and if so how often? Seems like there is no one answer. Unless I hear otherwise I'm splitting the difference and going with D3 once a week, calcium alone four times a week, and...

How often to use D3 with a T5 UVB bulb

I am seeing so much conflicting information that I don't think there is one irrefutable answer. My 7 week old baby (intro here) is under a new and unobstructed 36" T5 10.0 Repti-Sun with a reflector. It is exactly 12 inches above his basking rock. There are two spots he can get even closer...

    Please welcome Dr. Bombay!!

He got in the dish and gobbled them yesterday- apparently he prefers curly mustard greens to collard  How old is Moro?

    Please welcome Dr. Bombay!!

So far he's chowing down on crickets, Dubias, AND BSFL. Not too into his salads unless I hand it to him- he ate four bites of greens that way but won't eat it by himself. I have to be careful not to spoil him. I'll leave the greens in until they dry out, maybe he's just not hungry yet. Had a...
