Can bearded dragons hear light fixture noises?

I agree! I actually ordered a couple to try on Amazon. If it doesn't make a difference once I plug it in I can at least return them and get my money back. I couldn't find an Arcadia 24" anywhere online. I'm trying a JumpStart with timer and a ZooMed as options. Fingers crossed.

Can bearded dragons hear light fixture noises?

She hides from all of them. And they were all tested with the Solar meter to confirm proper levels.

Can bearded dragons hear light fixture noises?

Through the the test, the bulbs are fine, the UVI is fine, the temps are fine. She is just avoiding artificial UVB. That is why I was thinking maybe it’s making a sound we can’t hear that bothers her.

Can bearded dragons hear light fixture noises?

The Fixture is a SunBlaster NanoTech T5 HO. The bulbs are an Arcadia D3+ 12% and 14% and a ReptiSun T5 HO 10.0. I can't hear anything but I'm curious if maybe she can.

Can bearded dragons hear light fixture noises?

My BD has recently been majorly avoiding her UVB. Now let me start by saying yes she has seen a vet, yes we have correct lighting and temps, and no she does not have parasites. Basically, I'm curious if the UVB fixture is emitting a sound I can't hear that is bothering her. If I take her...

Can someone please explain these lab numbers for me?

Her calcium was listed at 47.1. I had to call to get that. I was concerned because she had been avoiding her UVB and hadn’t been eating for a month (she had maybe a 1/8 cup of greens and maybe 15 superworms over the past month). I don’t dust her food with calcium because she won’t eat it. She...

    Bearded Dragon avoiding UVB

Yes I checked the Sunblaster post thank you :) But that shows that it wasn’t emitting enough UVB. I almost feel like this bulb is emitting too much.

    Bearded Dragon avoiding UVB

INTERESTING UPDATE: I took the reflector off of the fixture and she came out of hiding. The UVB is on. She is on the cool side though.

    Bearded Dragon avoiding UVB

Sorry misread the previous post. The basking light is a 150w Zoomed basking spot lamp. She avoids the UVB all the time.

The fixture is a sun blaster.

    Bearded Dragon avoiding UVB

Yes I had the 14% Arcadia in and that’s when she started hiding. Then I went down to the 12%. It was fine in the glass tank until I put her in the Zen Habitat. Now she is acting this way. I do have a brand new Reptisun T5 10.0 and 5.0 but I thought the Arcadia was supposed to be better

    Bearded Dragon avoiding UVB

I did the solar meter and it came to 3.1 at 18 inches. That is the lowest point though. That is with her on the floor. She doesn’t climb much at all. Never has. I’m sure if she went up higher obviously it would be less inches.

    Bearded Dragon avoiding UVB

Hi. I have a three-year-old female bearded dragon who for some reason is avoiding her UVB light. Here are the facts. She is three years old, female, never laid eggs, her appetite is very scarce. She will maybe eat three pieces of collard greens every few days with me feeding her. She is refusing...

Eating right before going into brumation

O.k. so Gamera had a poop then went into a full sleep for a week. She woke up a couple days ago and ate some greens and worms. Yesterday she went back to sleep but didn't poop before she zonked out. Should I wake her up and keep her up until she does poop? Or just let her sleep? I know it's...
