Well he does poop every couple of days but he doesn't eat a lot so I'm assuming that's why, no smell either. May be worth a vet visit when the lockdown is over, just to be sure. I'm about to change his UVB bulb so I'll see if that makes a difference :)

Hi guys, I have a 9 year old beardie, Cato, who doesn't move around a lot, even when I get him out he just wants to go back in his tank. He's been like this few the last year and a half. He eats a few morio worms very 2-3 days, and will only eat blended greens :lol: which is fine by me. Just...

Cato has been given the all clear, the vet now thinks this is brumation due to me force feeding and him gaining weight again. I have to monitor his weight and keep an eye on him but can relax a bit on the force feeding! Hopefully this is over now and I can have my boy back :)

You can use a spray bottle and mist him, outside of his tank, of put a water dish in there and see if he takes interest. I wouldn't leave the water bowl in there too long though because of humidity :)

I know life can get really stressful sometimes, but your beardie will love you no matter what! I went through a time where I couldn't get my boy out everyday and he still loves me :) I have sliding door vivs, as it's less scary for them as I'm not coming from above like a predator; I'd suggest...

I take the stuff out of the tank, so there is nothing inside for them to hide under! Then Sonny chases them all over the place, he loves it! They usually crawl out after a while anyway and they gobble them up!

Just chuck a blanket over the tank! She'll be fine :)

It could be bug juice, especially if it looks wet, I know Cato has had it a few times :lol: But I have no idea if this is some sort of infection, I'm sure the others, more experienced posters will get around to this post soon. Hopefully nothing to worry about!

Due to the higher temps they require (100-110 basking) I'd suggest bathing every day, or trying to get him to drink. He looks a little dehydrated, so I'd definitely try give him some water every day :) My little one loves a drink! I just drop some onto his snout and he licks it right up.

Okay thanks, I have kept him awake always getting him out and he perks up then. So glad you guys are on here with so much knowledge! Can't wait for my little boy to be back to full health :)

So I've started building a bridge for my dragon tank and as I was letting the grout dry overnight it seems to have orange patches on it? Is this still safe or should I chip off the grout and start again?
