What insects if not crickets and dubias?

So what is it that is so bad about meal worms? I can scratch out impaction as I've fed mealworms for months at a time and had 0 issues. Is it the that they are fatty? Is the only reason they're "bad" is because there are "better options"? What if those better options are not options for me lol...

What insects if not crickets and dubias?

I was curious what other options are there if you do not want to feed crickets or dubia roaches? Hornworms and silk worms seem difficult to keep and only good as a snack? BSFL are too small. This leaves us with mealworms and superworms which everyone says to stay away from. I will NOT keep...

    Just curious

How bad can a bite be? I've seen a few videos of people being bitten, but none seemed to even be bad enough to break the skin. I guess if its a food bite?

    Already 18 inches

I was wondering the same thing. At first I thought maybe I miscalculated my beardie's age due to his size but looking at Joey they seem to be about the same. I measured Neo last night and he's about 17", so right in line with yours. Are you planning on getting a new enclosure? I have him in a...

    Obese beardie?

Thanks! He does seem big for 5 months old. The pet shop told us he was 6 weeks old in October and looking at pictures of him at that time he was definitely a baby. So maybe he's a few weeks older but he has to be around 5-6 months max. I do feed him 3 times a day. I don't think Herman is too...

    Obese beardie?

Yeah I am pretty sure he is a male. I've seen the two bumps pretty pronounced but I will get a picture and post it here just for a second opinion. Do you think "he" could possibly be a female?

    Obese beardie?

Thank you guys so much for replying! So he is a leatherback, thank you for confirming that! My wife liked him because he wasn't so "spikey" and I wasn't sure if he was a morph of any type. He was listed as a "red morph" in the local pet shop we got him at but after doing some research there is...

    Obese beardie?

Lately my bearded dragon, Neo, has been looking a little fat. We took him home 10/01/2022 (at 6 weeks old) and I believe he was born in late august so he's about 5 months old now. About 3 weeks ago now I was feeding him a diet of 40% mealworm : 40% bsfl : 20% salad. He was starting to look...
