Beardie only wants to syringe feed

I've had Goetta since November 2nd and it's been a whirlwind. He's still a lil baby and he had some pretty gnarly parasites which caused him to stop eating. While being treated I've been syringe feeding him oxbow crit care with a bug slurry to keep him nourished. He's made a tremendous recovery...

    Possible stargazing? Advice please!

Oh my god wait is that real? The timeline would line up with when I put the camera in there. It's worth a try for sure. I do think he is actually sick with something, but the camera may be having an affect on his stress levels!

    Possible stargazing? Advice please!

She was never ever to walk from birth because her back legs didn't function at all. And when she started producing her first clutch, her right side was producing eggs fine but her left side wasn't at all. Then I noticed the eggs were actually forming INSIDE her thigh. Her reproductive system was...

    Possible stargazing? Advice please!

I can try running a spare lower watt bulb in my left lamp to see if he perks up a little. Something's making him want to avoid the basking area so I need to figure out what's spooking him. My last girl left in such a traumatic way that this little man has me worried sick. I have a camera in his...

    Possible stargazing? Advice please!

She had a disability that affected her reproductive organs not forming properly and was unable to pass her first clutch of eggs. She wasn't sick that I know of. I took him to a vet yesterday and he thought it could be parasites but we're just waiting on him to poop.

    Possible stargazing? Advice please!

No it's just like a little unit that sits there. I don't know how to describe it lol. And I did move the uvb higher recently cause I was scared it was too close and was overwhelming him. I might move it a tad bit higher and see if it helps him want to venture onto his perch again.

    Possible stargazing? Advice please!

I got him November 2nd, so not long at all. He was really amazing and active that first week but then he just changed. It doesn't feel like a stressed out beardie, he seems ill and that's why I'm so scared lol. I got him from PetSmart(which I said I'd never do but I was grieving my late beardie...

    Possible stargazing? Advice please!

I'll just copy and paste from my other post "He's under a fresh t5 10.0 bulb. His temps range from 92 to 110 on his hot end/basking area, to 75 on the cool side. At night it sits around 70-75 depending on if our heater kicks on. The humidity has been sitting at about 25%-30%" I'm not using a...

    Possible stargazing? Advice please!

I posted the other day about my new beardie gagging. I took him to the vet and he thinks he might have parasites. He weighs 8 grams. He hasnt eaten in 2 days so he hasn't pooped yet to be able to do a fecal. I had some crit care from my last girl so I'm trying to give him a little of that...

New baby beardie making gagging sound?

He's eating small crickets, Dubia, and calcigrubs. It's inside the tank but I'm actually worried I have it too low. My girl that recently passed away was disabled so I had the fixture a little lower. I'm gonna raise it up in a bit and see if that has any affect on him. He still hasn't made the...

New baby beardie making gagging sound?

I've got his baby cam going now. Hopefully if he does it today the audio will be good enough to catch it.

New baby beardie making gagging sound?

I picked up Goetta November 2nd from my local PetSmart (I know, I know. I said I'd never support PetSmart's awful breeding standards but something about him had me unable to get him out of my head. And I recently lost my girl, so I guess I was feeling emotionally charged). He very young. I...

Thinking of euthanizing my disabled beardie

I can feel the one egg in her lower abdomen. I expected her to produce more, but she never did. We keep her a healthy but lean weight because I was always worried about her being too heavy to army crawl around. I might try and give her a warm bath later

Thinking of euthanizing my disabled beardie

Do you know how long they normally hold eggs before you should worry? I think if she's able to pass this egg we're gonna keep trying with her. :,(

Thinking of euthanizing my disabled beardie

(4x2x2 enclosure, t5 UVB, temps ranging from ~80 to ~107) My girl is just shy of 2 years old. She was born with a pretty severe disability being that her legs don't work. She's never been able to walk in her life. I adopted her when she was a few months old knowing that she'd struggle but I...

Displaced by Hurricane Ida and beardie struggling

I just went ahead and bought the upgrade, I was planning to do it eventually anyway as soon as we had the funds to rebuild her whole set-up. Because at almost 19 inches she's outgrown this one fast and I'm also thinking she's upset because she's wants more space to run around. Thanks for the help!
