    Rescuing Simon

Love those options but I’m looking for something a little smaller, affordable, and all glass. She (unlike most beardies) actually likes being able to see out all directions. I’m not sure what her new home will be like but she loves looking out this window (light doesn’t come straight through it...

    Rescuing Simon

Simon update! She is doing great :) today marks 7 weeks into being gravid so she should’ve payed by now but I personally think she reabsorbed the eggs or reversed it somehow, but I will be going to the vet next week to make sure there’s no egg-binding. I was wonder if anyone had any good tank...

Diarrhea and now napping during day

@Drache613 clyde actually hasn’t pooped since the antibiotics. he was already starting to brumate. Given him 2 baths to promote some digestion/processing for the food and antibiotics in his system. A weird new bruise has appeared on his back knee… he’s been sleeping so idk what it is. He also...

    Ant poison issue with roaches

So I’ve had ants in my home off and on for a while. They mostly went away except for my bedroom, I would notice some dead in my water cup in the morning 😐. But I didn’t see them anywhere during the day until now. In with the roaches 🫣 gross. Luckily there aren’t that many of them. I’m going to...

    Rescuing Simon

Tail is honestly looking the same or better. Not progressing. If it does heal on its own does anyone know the max amount of time that could take? I’m assuming soft-tissue injury can take longer for animals with scales. I’ve had her about two months and I started treating the tail with betadine...

Diarrhea and now napping during day

Thank you. The reason I felt pushed to try the antibiotic is because I thought the lethargy might be a sign of him feeling severely ill and weak. Since the first 2 injections showed no sign at all in change of behavior (he actually started sleeping more) then I think it is just brumation and I...

Diarrhea and now napping during day

I think he’d wake up, they hurt him a bit. Plus he is deep in his hide at night and during the day.

Diarrhea and now napping during day

I would prefer they do it. The issue is it’s every 3 days for a month and the drive takes an hour round-trip… and Clyde is now brumating. It would be at least an hour and a half of being forced to be awake for him and for an entire month. Not to mention the gas. Luckily I do have the free time...

Diarrhea and now napping during day

Tried maybe 6 times to get the injection in. No luck. He’s back in his hide now and all that happened is that I upset him and myself :/ I’m also wondering if this needle size is appropriate. It seems kind of big when I’m putting it into his tiny arm muscle.

Diarrhea and now napping during day

Well the brumation activity has continued. I tried to give him the 3rd shot today and I’m bawling because I can’t get it to work it won’t go in and he just runs away. He doesn’t understand and he just thinks I want to hurt him :( I got it to go in once but it came right back out. Didn’t get any...

Diarrhea and now napping during day

Clyde is now on an antibiotic that I have to inject every 3 days to see if that helps. It's every 3 days for a month, which seems like a lot but I decided to take the vet's advice. The bloodwork did not show a high level of white blood cells, but the white blood cells that were present showed...

Need a good bee pollen recommendation

Who is biodude? I'll check out those amazon links too. Also I was previously getting mine from a bearded dragon owner and instagram user but they posted something I really didn't like  two beardies bathing in a sink together and one was pushing the other's head underwater by...

Hi! I'm not sure what area you're in but I have a 2.5 yr old beardie I am rehoming. She is not quite ready for her new home because she is gravid currently but she will be looking for a new home soon! She came from a somewhat neglectful home but is surprisingly healthy. She has some tail tip...

    Rescuing Simon

I think its okay for now too since it hasn't progressed. The vet thinks that the black skin (very black around trauma) is dead and won't heal so amputation is best. I'm hoping it will fall off on its own but I don't know how long that would take. Here's some more photos.

    Rescuing Simon

Vet is recommending an amputation of the very tip of Simon’s tail where it has begun to blacken. Since the black part hasn’t started progressing (exact same for over a week) I’m just going to keep doing betadine and neosporin for now so she can focus on laying eggs. We are scheduling the...
