    Senior Beardie Bulging Eyes Suddenly

Oh no, so sorry to hear this. :( I know this must hit you hard, it does hurt when our pets get this sick and the prognosis is the end. It's good that you had the xray done so you could make this caring decision. My heart goes out to you.

    Senior Beardie Bulging Eyes Suddenly

Hi there, it sounds like you're taking great care of your old boy despite his age and challenging health concerns. BTW, what is his name ? Sorry if I missed it ! The bulging at times can be associated with kidney or heart problems but I wouldn't say that's what the problem definitely is because...

Did it turn dark like that suddenly ? Having a qualified reptile vet check it thoroughly should give you some answers.

A new Find the Dragon (Im sad)

He'll probably be there for a short time and then pop back out. :) They do stuff like that even if they're not brumating.

    Very sick beardie

Hi there, sorry to hear all of this. The first episode of vomiting might have just been when the worms weren't digested for whatever reason, it can happen more easily with supers when not chewed properly, when given in large amounts, possible lack of proper heat or when fed too late. Thereafter...

    Parasites in my dubia colony

It's most likely a maggot that was attracted to anything dead. Totally normal, you just want to keep the container clean and should have no problem. Interestingly, calci worms [ bsfl ]are maggots specially raised as reptile food.

US beardie keepers... are yours doing okay with fireworks today?

Yes I feel bad for the dogs + cats in my neighborhood but most are indoors or indoor/outdoor but in the house during the fireworks. Well, today will be tomorrow in about 35 minutes so I'm signing off , don't want to miss my prime sleep time.

    Changing Scale Color

Hi there, sorry that Picard is having this problem. First of all , has he not had a re-check after the initial vet visit and the stitches have neen ever since ? If so that is waaaaaay too long. I don't think your vet is really experienced because that doesn't look like impaction either. How much...

How do I fix hide humidity

It's fine really, they only spend part of their time in there. During brumation in the wild they may experience higher humidity too in their burrows, as well as their range in Australia is from almost arid environment to woodlands and near tropical.

    Find the dragon...challengers edition

Except the red + orange dragons still have a wide range of tones they can " fire up" to or tone down to. True grey or tan dragon lack these colors too.

    Find the dragon...challengers edition

Well yes, it makes simple sense that a greyish or tan colored b.d matches the hues of the branches , rocks, dirt etc that is found in their habitat. The red dragons came from the regions of Australia that have red sand/soil. But red/orange dragons still change color according to their mood or...

Beardie tried to eat finger and left this behind

Yes, food residue in their mouth depending on what they ate . Bugs all have their own messiness factor. :)

Beardie tried to eat finger and left this behind

Probably just a bit of food that was on his teeth . Doesn't seem like anything to worry about unless he has a plaque build up all over his teeth.

Beardie found outdoors, extremely aggressive towards me

Yes it's definitely a b.d and it's not an Eastern, just a standard average pet beardie p. vitticeps. The small liine on his belly is nothing, might be an old scratch that healed up.

Beardie found outdoors, extremely aggressive towards me

Oh never mind, I just re-read the post and see that the lizard eats veggies and fence swifts don't eat veggies like that. So it may be a loose baby beardie. A pic would still be nice of the entire set up and the baby.
