Spike spent today at the vet, and we were given some good news while we waited (we were originally told he wasn't going to make it). We picked him up from the vet to take him home. He rode on my lap, and sometime between the vet and my house he passed away :( RIP Spike.

After doing a little research, I would guess you might be right. He doesn't have any of the symptoms of severe MBD, but the soft backwards bending joints shown in this page are almost identical to how he has been holding his front paws the last couple of days...

I never feed the feeders. I usually buy them as I use them. I'll replace the UV light tomorrow, and start to look into this diet a little better. Thanks!

UV light is approximately year old, its a tube, not bulb (sorry, cant recall the brand) pictures - I can get better pictures later for sure Diet - Mixture of crickets, romaine lettuce, and carrots.

So I currently have 1 bearded dragon (Spike, 4 years old) and I am in love with him. He is absolutely amazing. My question to you fine folks is, is there any way I could obtain a 2nd beardie and keep the 2 of them in the same cage, without worrying about 1 attacking the other, etc?

Hey Tracie, I've given him a couple baths since I posted this, and the marking seems to be getting bigger. It would appear he's just shedding very slowly. I'll take a picture tonight again.

Are these bulbs bad? Someone told me this was the light I was supposed to use (either Repti-sun or Repti-Glo) and my local pet store didn't have Repti-Glo. I got the tube, not the bulb, but should be I be shutting off this light immediately?

Hey Tracie, The top of his tail (and the rest of his cute little body) look the same as the normal part of the picture posted above.

Only issue with the last part is, he hasn't really shed much recently. I havent noticed any dead skin in his cage like normal during shedding. I gave him a bath last night, and will do so again today to see if that helps.

My little guy (4 year old spike) has a spot on his tail that looks vaguely similar to his skin during shedding. The only problem is, this spot has been on his tail for near on a month, with no sign of shedding anywhere else. Am I being over-protective/worrisome or could something be wrong?

He absolutely is a curious little bugger :P. Any trouble he can find, he gets into :d (just like me)! He is VERY photogenic to. Its awesome! as for Z&W - they are definately amazing, and you do a great job for them!
