    Nessy, my notoriously picky eater.

:blob5: :blob5: She ate in front of me today! First time since bringing her home. All four legs are a pale gray now, and so is her tail. I sense a shed coming soon!

    Nessy, my notoriously picky eater.

Hey there, pretty new, but wanted to put up a couple pictures of my girl, Nessy. A bit of backstory... My girlfriend and I have been having the on again/off again argument about getting a beardie for almost seven years. I've always wanted one (had one, for a brief time in San Diego, when we...

    Reptile Rescue Train

I'm in NW Washington, but frequently drive to Oregon and California. I can also head North to the Canadian border, no problem. (Could probably also go East toward Idaho, depending on the pass.)

Hiding and not wanting to be seeked...

You can get a ZooMed probe thermometer at Petco for about eight bucks. Ditto to the Reptisun and the sand.

Hiding and not wanting to be seeked...

What's his lighting like? How are the temps in his cage? What size tank is Owy in? (Sorry for the barrage of questions!)

Went out of town now my Beardie is acting aggressive

My thought would to be to treat it a lot like relocation stress. You can try putting a shirt or something that you've worn but haven't washed yet into your dragons tank to get them reacquainted with your smell, but personally, I wouldn't stop handling your beardie. Might not want to let the kids...

Travel Enclosure brainstorming... Looking for input

My concern would be stress on a little guy in an enclosure/atmosphere like a firehouse. I think the concept is sound, but I'd honestly wait until your future dragon was older to try it out. I also definitely suggest covering three sides to reduce stress and maybe insulate a little bit. Also...

    New beardie on board!

He's a big hit here. :) His relocation stress kicked into high gear today, though. His coloring is way darker, and he seems pretty agitated. His temps are good, though. Basking temp was at 103 about an hour ago, and the cool side was around 85. He's still pooping and eating, I just think it's...

    New beardie on board!

Hey there! Back again, after years of being away from beardies. My first baby, Loki, passed away in 2009, but I'm back at it with a 4-5 month old rescue who I've named Ivan. Here he is, sitting on my roommates shoulder. She's doing great with him! She's not a big reptile fan, but I think my...

    Shipping to Alaska! Tips?

That's what I hear. I wish there was a way I could take him with me, but the only way to get to my town is via airplane or boat. Time to dig up some shipping directions then. Thanks for the snow warning for Seattle!

    Shipping to Alaska! Tips?

I'd take him with me, and it probably (I don't know what lizard policies are on planes) wouldn't be a problem, if I didn't have a three day layover in Seattle.

    Shipping to Alaska! Tips?

I'm moving back home at the end of this month, and the person I've been staying with is going to ship my beardie to me when I get home. He's seventeen inches long now, and generally takes one to two days to ship - even with overnight shipping. Any suggestions on how to get him home safely...

Asleep one second, black bearding the next?

Recently, I've been trying to handle Loki as much as possible, as my hands are currently tied with the size of his viv and lack of adequate transportation. Last night, I had him out while I was reading a book, and he fell asleep on my chest. It was fine, he didn't move much and I made sure my...

Will my enclosure be big enough for now?

Thank you so much. I'll definitely be looking into the rubbermaid option for his temporary home.

Will my enclosure be big enough for now?

Thanks! How long do you usually keep Randal in the rubbermaid? Loki's already 13", and I think he eats more than I do! I have to ship him home in the middle of December, and right now, I'm reading up on how to do that safely. But, if I can get away with selling the 20gal tank here before I...
