I had the same problem when deciding whether or not to seal the grout in Bruce's new viv. The fumes that the bottle of sealer gave off smelled TERRIBLE so I decided against it. Hope this helps aid in your decision.

Yea, I prefer tile as well. My beardie has been on tile her whole life and has no traction problems and does help to keep her nails dull (I barely ever have to clip them). Much easier to clean than the carpet as well, just wipe it off with a pet safe cleaner!

they have a spike at the end that you push into the wood with a screwdriver... Also I thought I would post some pics of the lighting my dad did. The lamp is on 12 hours a day and the ceramic heat emitter turns on for 4 hours at night The day bulb is very low wattage and only there for extra light

Oh, I just thought of another question! If I wanted to add a little extra heat in bruce's new cage for when it gets cold (my room gets to be freezing!) would it be safe to put a UTH underneath on the wood? Would it even be able to pass through the wood and the tile to heat the cage? So pretty...

My dad is working on installing the fixtures in Bruce's new cage tonight and I had a few questions about the bulbs I got... I got a 150 watt Repti Halogen brand light and I am afraid it will be too strong/hot for the cage size. The dimension are 40x20x24... here is a picture. I know, I already...
