    Dehydration / Weight Loss

I stopped providing gabapentin though I still have some left. His calcium is slightly lower than last year, currently 14.9mg/dL. It was 16mg/dL. I was told it should be within 9-27, otherwise calcium issues weren't discussed. They were entirely focused on the lump in his right side and...

His beard has been the same usual color as shown in the above pictures

    Dehydration / Weight Loss

He is active during the day. His legs and torso are looking better than last month, but his legs still aren't great. No visible improvement around the tail or head with areas that became sunken in there. His weight hasn't changed from the 340-350g area still though.

    Dehydration / Weight Loss

Nothing appears to be swollen. He's still visibly scrawny in areas that really shouldn't be such as the sides of his tails and arms. I believe he's still only 350g, having bottomed out at a minimum of 335 in the first week of July. He's been on gabapentin and herbivore emeraid since July 16th...

    Dehydration / Weight Loss

Picture attacked is about as clear as he ever gets in what we consider to be a good mood. I was mistaken above when I said no medication. He was prescribed gabapentin twice daily. I am giving it to him once daily.

    Dehydration / Weight Loss

He has seldom had a completely clear beard regardless of conditions. We've attempted adjusting his husbandry, food, handling, etc over time yet it has always remained at least a little grey since rescuing him from his previous situation. Ive assumed it's from a change of scenery at the age of...

    Dehydration / Weight Loss

We chose not to hospitalize due to past experience doing so. He has been home this entire time. We have * Reduced insect feedings to every 3 days * Reduced the amount of calcium used in dusting * Increased how much/often we offer greens, and try to get him interested in eating them more *...

    Dehydration / Weight Loss

They only spoke in terms of * Uric acid indicating kidneys are in bad shape * He is unlikely to recover from such levels of dehydration * If the above prove false, the hard spot near his liver is likely a tumor anyways They recommended hospitalization for rehydration, emeraid for supplementing...

    Dehydration / Weight Loss

He is more energetic/active than he has been in the past, but he's still wobbly and struggling to eat greens. They just don't stick to his tongue. He isn't gaining weight on a diet of 4-5 5/8" dubias / crickets 3 days per week. He's stagnated at 345g when he used to be 430g. His tail/sides...

One of the pictures is dated May 2023 for an old reference point. The rest are July 2024. @Drache613

    Dehydration / Weight Loss

The largest concern of the vet was rehydration and keeping him away from kidney failure. His poop is no longer the dried out hard rocks that they used to be, but idk if that's indication of him being hydrated again or water flowing right through him. No undigested insects in his poop since...

    Dehydration / Weight Loss

I will pick up cherry juice today or tomorrow. He's still looking emaciated but he's approaching 350g now, up from 335g 2-3 weeks ago. The reason I feed 6x every 2 days (18-24/wk) is because they're not adult insects. If still desired, I can reduce feeding. Should he still be eating...

    Dehydration / Weight Loss

I am trying to get a copy of it but they still haven't sent it to me. His insect intake prior to this was 6x 5/8" dubias every other day (18-24 per week). Currently he's eating crickets every few days. How would we offer the cherry juice? Edit: he's around 9-10yo

    Dehydration / Weight Loss

I am hopeful that the hard spots are irregularly hard/solid poops from dehydration, but I believe their digestion track and what not is on the left side. :/ Drache613 is the main person I'm hopeful would weigh in on the matter. Ive got no where to be for the next 60 hours, so I'll be around...

    Dehydration / Weight Loss

Prefacing this with I have seen a reptile vet already, but even the top reptile vet within 100 miles of me is of questionable quality and reliability. Percy has lost around 70g (410/420 -> 340/350 grams), appeared dehydrated up until a couple days ago, has had 2 of 4 poops contain undigested...

    Wheezing/Coughing post-brumation

Eating salad a little, still minimum. Basking unprompted. Has only pooped three times since waking up, one of which was today. Looked fine today but I don't have pictures.
