An interesting watch regarding a study that was done on D3 absorbtion in bearded dragons. Beardies lack the bile acids to break down D3 to allow it to pass the intestinal barrier to enter the blood stream.

Don't want to hijack this thread, but I have my Zoo Med T5 10.0 HO set up about 8 inches above my boys basking spot (inside the tank). I have it set up like this based off the chart on the Zoo Med website. Should it be at 12-15 inches instead?
