    A broken lizard

I literally have zero words. Like, is he trying to drown himself.? Trying to make a statement that I, as a bipedal primate descendant, wouldn't understand.? This is the prime definition of art. You wouldn't understand. https://photos.app.goo.gl/3tp8biTajoCvEigr9

NOVA; UGA; EGGS -- EDITED FOR UPDATE

The vet called and was a little confused at the steady weight gain, even if its just a little at a time. She said she can't give us much advice without seeing her so I think we're gonna make an appointment to go down there again before long. I don't like denying her food, it's been really hard...

She seems like she's not hurting that much, unless she's real active the day before, the following day, she'll be a little bleh seeming. But yesterday, I was giving Toothless some worms and Nova was on her bridge and saw the tweezers/worms and absolutely lost it. She flung herself off the hide...

I hope it's not thyroid. Poor girl doesn't need anymore health problems.😥 well, she wants to be super active. She wants to run, to jump off the bed and run through the house. But she can't. The vet said she shouldn't even really be running around on the bed until her stitches come out, which...

She's gained more weight. Between the, like, 31st or the 1st, she went from 800 to 830 and there's no real explanation that I can think of. She's not eating enough bugs to cause weight gain unless just a couple (like three at most) and day are causing the gain. I inject her meds into a hornworm...

NOVA; UGA; EGGS -- EDITED FOR UPDATE

Well, part of her tail will shed. The dark parts in the middle have no shed and look weird as hell. Well, first, the uga vet said she was good to go back into her normal tank and was good to climb, like climb onto her hide, even though it had kinda pointy edges because it was a log. I was...

NOVA; UGA; EGGS -- EDITED FOR UPDATE

Maaaan we thought things were going good but fuuuuuuu -- it seems it's continuing to stack against poor Nova. Upon discharge, the doc said to closely and strictly monitor her weight, weighing her regularly. Upon discharge, it said she weighed 860, (but her paper said 816?) and they want her to...

Its definitely bothering her, more than usual. Now, we touch it and she twitches away, like the nerves are super sensitive. We haven't been putting anything on it, the vet just said to keep an eye on it, she said some sxales were definitely damaged but I dunno from what. It wasn't like that...

NOVA; UGA; EGGS -- EDITED FOR UPDATE

I hope these are okay. She has shed coming around her tail, but you can see it's still damaged and the scales between the parts of shed are damaged too. There are a couple sticking out, and they're damaged as well. And you can see the bump below her kink. The vet did say they're actually...

NOVA; UGA; EGGS -- EDITED FOR UPDATE

Her tail isn't quite as sensitive but there's a weird bump right below the kink and it looks...discolored.? She had her first stitches check up and the vet said some scales look affected but it didn't quite look like scale rot or anything and to keep an eye on her. We can't soak her right now...

NOVA; UGA; EGGS -- EDITED FOR UPDATE

Its definitely weird, I've never seen a beardie with legit pattern on their belly that wasn't stress marks. It's like he's got cheeta spots. She's doing well, we're able to inject her meds into hornworms and get her to take all of it and she does have a good appetite. Her tail seems super...

NOVA; UGA; EGGS -- EDITED FOR UPDATE

Okay, so sidebar but does anyone else have a beardie with markings on their bellies.? I'm not talking stress marks because that's not what these are. They're orange, some are colored in, they never change and are always there 24/7. Luci's stress marks look different, these are almost like cheeta...

Okay, so we got ahold of the vet and ultimately, the dosage mixup of the meloxicam is fine, it just made her more sleepy. Which she definitely was. She snoozed all day yesterday. They said the extra dose of tramadol wouldn't have hurt her, just more sleepy. But we waited until this morning to...

Oh I don't blame you. Nova laid 55 her first infertile clutch and then 10 days later, laid another 30. It's worrisome going through this but I'm glad it's over and they're on the mend.

NOVA; UGA; EGGS -- EDITED FOR UPDATE

Oh man, it sounds like she's having a rough time. They told us Nova could eat the next day and she's acting like she's starving but we're only giving her a couple bugs so not to hurt her stomach. They also said she can be in her normal tank, with her normal basking spot to climb up onto. She...

Her tramadol is supposed to be every 48 hours. If i did give her a full dose of tramadol, by the bottle, she couldn't have another dose until sunday

Not really because they're such tiny bottles with such tiny amounts because they're only for a couple days. The meloxicam does have a yellowish hue but like, I don't remember what it looked like at like 10am this morning
