    Not Cut Out For This

I appreciate your care and kindness and I understand that for some people it gets better after the first few weeks. I've been his owner for a few years. I do not think I'm suited for this, and I think it's likely he'd be happier in someone else's home. I have been heartbroken over this idea for...

No, that's my bad. I'm in Northern NJ right now. I never said.

    Not Cut Out For This

I know I said when I first joined this site that I was going to try to better myself as a bearded dragon owner. To take better care of my lizard. I removed particle substrate from my bearded dragon's tank, tried to offer greens instead of insects, sexed him, looked up tutorials... Though I love...

    Underweight?

It's been about a week since I started (weird, I thought it was longer?). He ate a bit the first few days, pooped and stopped eating veggies again. I haven't tried crickets yet, but I think he may be beginning to burmate, as he is hanging out in the cool end of his tank a lot and pretty much...

    Giving this a shot!

As someone who doesn't check their email much, having notifications pop up on-screen (similar to how Facebook notifies you of a new message) when someone comments on one of your posts would be uber helpful.

    Newspaper Traction Issues

Unfortunately I don't have any way to get tile right now. My sister is going to college soon, and so my family's trying to cut costs for a little while...I've put paper towel over the newspaper, and that fixes my beardie's traction issues, but I'd still like help in a similar regard: he used to...

    Underweight?

He's been really excited about eating some of the squash and veggies I've put out so far...he won't eat it off the paper towel when it's not moving, but he'll eat it out of my hand. Progress! :D

    Burrowing

My beardie has been wanting to burrow lately, especially when going to sleep; he's been getting under the newspaper and paper towels I've got in his cage as a temporary substrate. I read up and I know some people have burrowing boxes for their beardies! Two things: 1) What kind of material...

    Hello!

Update: Sexed my dragon; he's a male, 14" long, and adult. I've decided to name him Goldilocks despite the fact that it's a feminine name - he's so picky and fickle, and sometimes he turns a really pretty golden color!

    Hello!

Thank you so much! I'm eager to learn more.

    Underweight?

I considered this, especially since he's been hanging out in the cool end of his tank more often, but he's still extremely interested in live feed, so I think he must just be snubbing his veggies. I'll try waiting him out starting tomorrow!

    Underweight?

I just checked; he's about 14 inches right now.

    Underweight?

Oh, no, I've had him for longer than that. I got him from a pet store past adolescence, so I'd guess he's about five years old. If you want, I can check how long he is for reference.

    Underweight?

I suspect he may be a little underweight at the moment which is the only reason why I'd be hesitant...Is this safe even if he could stand to gain a bit?

    Newspaper Traction Issues

After reading up on this site about calci-sand, I just recently (like two days ago) cleaned out my dragon's viv and replaced the sand with newspaper. I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong, though -- layering the newspaper flat on the viv. It seems like it's slippery and my bearded's having trouble...

    Underweight?

I mentioned this before but I really am having trouble getting my beardie to eat his fruits and veggies. He seems to only really want live feed. How viable health wise is it to gut feed crickets and feed solely with that? (I'd prefer not to do this of course. Feeding him straight fruits, veggies...

    Underweight?

I've read on multiple sites that they're okay for bearded dragons to eat, along with in a care book I bought when I first got him.
