    EYE CONCERN

She looks good. Some small stress lines but those should fade with time. For mine I just track weight and lenght. As mentioned, feed insects twice a day until she gets to about 6 months. Then feed 7 days a week and reduce that by one day per month until you are only feeding twice a week. As...

    Post-brumation appetite; a question

Mealworms are not that bad but yes, bugs with legs are usually better. My boy will also get some superworms from time to time and my girl likes her mealworms as well :)

Lilly breaks 100g and 4 months

Thank you, lots of which I learned from you! Her size is fantastic, I think it might hep that I picked her up when she was really young. The breeder took good care of her but if you have 30 babys, it is impossible to make sure every one gets their share. She was one of the dominant ones but I...

    Back to basking

Lovely, I was just wondering about Taco, it feels so good to have them back. How is his activity and appetite doing?

Lilly breaks 100g and 4 months

She does, that's where I think she is putting all this weight :) Is Taco out of brumation yet or has he gone back to sleep? She has always been brave but now she gets more and more curious and independent. She's not returning to me as frequently on her free time. And she now knows that if she...

Lilly breaks 100g and 4 months

Today marks the day that Lilly has been longer with me then with the initial breeder. And what a developement she has put on, coming from 17.5cm and just 12g at 2 months old to now 4 months old, 31cm and 110g. She's also more into exporing the office (where her tank is located) and doesn't...

    Website Outage 6/21/2024

Thanks for fixing it so quickly :) Btw, is it just me or does anyone else have problems with email notifications now? Or lack there of....

    Nipped tail

Yes, his color is always all over the place and it seems he stresses very easy. This is him on my shoulder, looking out the window, which is the his most favourite place in the world. It is also finally warm enough for him and I to hang out, the summer in Germany has been nothing less than a...

    Post-brumation appetite; a question

My boy was the same after brumation. He would rather run through the bowl and throw the greens all around the tank than eat them. It took quite some time (and a reduction in bugs) to get him back into greens. How often and how many bugs do you offer him?

    Nipped tail

Update: He finally looks a bit better, the break doesn't seem quite as harsh anymore. This is him sitting on my shoulder which he likes a lot so he is more bright than usual, hence the black tip is even less pronouced. Usually it is still a little darker than in the pic but definately...

    EYE CONCERN

No, that's a good sign I think. Mine will try to run if they are scared and just freeze and stop to move if they are...irritated or insecure, I'd say. But could also be that she doesn't yet feel completely safe and secure in the tank. As mentioned with her being with you for this short time and...

    EYE CONCERN

She looks really good today. She will get better by the day the more she sheds off and the longer she has good uvb. She's a month older than my girl then. At this age feed her insects twice a day, dusted in calcium once a day. Once a week with added multivitamin also. Offer her water with the...

    EYE CONCERN

Small is refering to the size, not age. My boy brumated the first time with 10 months or so, he was 350g. The cool weather will make her less active, yes. As Karrie suggested the saline solution is a good idea and see how she does in a couple of days. The Arcadia and ZooMed bulbs are the best...

    EYE CONCERN

Interesting, mine both spend very little time on the ground, they like elevated spots a lot more. If you just switched out the coil, she might be low on appetite because of lack of uvb. Or because of shedding. Or because of the eyes. Or because of stress in general. Could be anything at this...

    EYE CONCERN

Ah okey, I see you are using the same foam background like I do ;) mine both love to climb it, how does she like it? She doesn't look very big for 1 years old but also not unhealthy in general. She looks cute with normal eyes and will sure thrive if you provide good for her. So unless your...

    EYE CONCERN

From the pictures it is hard to say because of the look of the eyes alone. She doesn't look very alert due to this. A vet checkup is always good for a new dragon and a new owner. If the uvb tube is facing front to back it is probably not long enough. If you use a tube, you want it to span 3/4...

    EYE CONCERN

You should get rid of the ceramic heater. Those animals life in a dessert, they are designed for lots of light and need heat from above. Hard to say from those pics. Look at the fat pads at the back of the head, they should not be sunken and the hip bones should not be visible. Get a weight on...

    EYE CONCERN

Hello Brandon, this would actually concern me, the eyes don't usually swell when they are in shed. I'd go for a vet or maybe @Drache613 has some idea of how to treat this at home?

    Enrichment

Mine both like the natural setups with loose substrate to allow for digging and some branches for climbing. They also can not (really, never!) get enough of those foam backplates. They will climb them up and down all day (both, the baby and the adult love them) :)

Hi there! New dragon owner here!

Welcome to the forum :) As you already guessed, they stretch and puff up when they warm up under the lamp so that's good. He looks really cute, what is his name and how old is he? Mine also rarely use a hide but you will want one on one or both back corners of the tank just so they know they...
