    Basking Temp

I never really bothered worrying about cool side either. I just wanted to make sure that the air temps I'm getting throughout my enclosure just to keep surface temp in basking site warm enough were ok. Wasn't sure if temp gradiant of 90 on warm side to 80 on cool side were to warm or not. Air...

My air temps are 90 on the hot end around basking site, 85 in middle of enclosure and 80 on the cool side. Are these temps...

    Heat and UVB

She wasn't quite sure what to think at first. She kept climbing up on her branch and jumping at the walls. It was like she believed the background was real and she was trying to climb the mountains and trees. LOL But after awhile she seemed to settle down

    Basking Temp

He has plenty of room to move closer and away from basking spot. TBH this guy really has never been fond of higher temps. Ive had him for almost 15 years and he really never has sat right under basking bulb even when I was able to maintain a consistant 95-100 basking temp. He seems to prefer a...

    Basking Temp

Only thing I can think of is ditch the thermostat and go with a regular dimmer switch and timer. I was trying to avoid the instant on and off of the bulb that's why I went to a thermostat set to dimming.

I wish you I could still buy regular household halogen bulbs. With those I had no problems at all maintaining basking temp. Was holding 95-100 all day without a thermostat

    Basking Temp

I have tried that and getting same results.Placed probe on decor until basking temp was targeted. Checked temp on thermostat at that time and set it for that. He is almost 15 years old. He recently had a vet appt for an eye issue and the vet told me to shoot for 100-105 when she was asking about...

I am currently using a 100 watt Arcadia Halogen flood basking bulb set with a Herpstat 2 thermostat. I am trying to maintain a temp of 100-105 in basking area but have noticed once enclosure reaches...

    UVB and LED lighting

I just visited the website that you linked for Tomaskas. Very informative ! I have a 4x2x2 PVC enclosure and I may be now changing my whole setup lol. As for the link cables how much would you want for the T5 to LED link ? And they are the Lumenize link cables correct ? The few places I've...

    UVB and LED lighting

Awsome. I cant wait to get mine. And yes Im aware of the hours of uvb needed so when I get my new fixture I will make sure I set it up to have at least 10 hours of a 12 hour light cycle at 100%. I do believe that should be enough.
