Dragon Passed out last night and appeared dead!

No, you were right to change her temperature. 85 is too low for her basking spot. I doubt that had anything to do with it.

    cricket help!

Get used to pet store runs for crickets. :P I purchase 150 at a time, and I still am in the pet store every few days to get more.

    cricket help!

Yep, that sounds like they must have escaped. If you don't want it happening again, I would go ahead and buy a cricket cage from a store. The cage you're using must have a crack or crevice somewhere that they are able to get out of.

    cricket help!

Does the tank you have have a long black tube in it for them to climb up into? They may be in there. Also, if you have eggshell-board in the tank from the petshop, they may be hiding under it.

Few questions from a newbie owner!

I completely sympathize with you. I've done so much research on Beardies, and it seems that everything I read is different or contradicts each other! Is it possible for you to bring your BD to a vet to get checked out? Also, my Beardie has shed twice already, and I don't seem to recall it...

Dragon Passed out last night and appeared dead!

Are you dusting her crickets with any sort of supplement or calcium powder? From what I've read on other forum posts here, passing out can be a sign of a calcium deficiency.

Dragon Passed out last night and appeared dead!

Just out of curiousity, was the light in the tank on or off when this happened? I'm not sure if this is normal for all Beardie's, but as soon as the light cuts off Heraclitus immediately passes out...sometimes in some very strange positions, and sometimes he does appear to be "dead."

Few questions from a newbie owner!

I know that when I first got my Beardie, he didn't actually poop much for a few days. I believe it might have been from adjusting to the new environment. As far as the feeding goes, carrots seem to be the one veggie Heraclitus doesn't like, whether I smash it up or grate it. He much prefers...

    My wonderful Heraclitus. :)

I've had Heraclitus for four months now. He has been a fantastic BD since the day I got him. He's never had problems with stress or adjusting, he loves to be handled, he eats well and he's absolutely gorgeous. About once a day, he will scratch against his glass until I pick him up, and then he...

Juvenile Beardie eats LOTS of greens.

Thank you Jewel. :) I'm sorry to waste your time with what probably seems a stupid question, but I love my Beardie and just wanted to make sure he stays healthy.

Juvenile Beardie eats LOTS of greens.

Hi guys, I know this might seem like a strange post, but after reading through forums and care sheets, my Beardie's (Heraclitus) behavior has me a little concerned. Heraclitus is about four months old and loves to eat his crickets - he generally eats between 30-50 a day. However, he also really...
