I got her to the vet - he said it's an upper respiratory infection. He flushed her nostrils with saline solution as her nose where clogged and suggested I flush her nostrils if they got clogged again with water. He also gave me Enrofloxacin to give orally 0.12ml once a day for 7 days. Her weight...
I noticed there were bubbles discharging from one of her nostrils. When the bubbles dry they become like a thick sticky mucus that covers the nostril. The other nostril is black from the inside and seems clogged - it has been like that for a couple of months at least.
I heard Baytril is good...
no wheezing or heavy breathing. Basking temps are taken through the probe and digital infrared thermometer. UVB is T5 arcadia tube.
So still not sure what the cause is.
Constant gooey sticky mucus discharge from one nostril only - cleaning it with a Q-tip on a regular basis. No wheezing or any other sound. Possible URI?
Can it be treated at home or need a vet?
Humidity 60% cold side, 30-40% basking side
Top screen mesh - cage is well ventilated
I do bathe her from time to time, so it is possible that she might have aspirated some water. I have been noticing these bubbles for some time along with some slight difficulty breathing occasionally but not all the time. I noticed also that her mouth is slightly open while she is sleeping. No...
I can't find any mustard, turnip or collard greens where I live. I know these are the staple veggies for bearded dragons. I have searched a lot of shops and online but in this part of the world (Dubai), I couldn't find any of them. All turnips in vegetable markets have already been cleaned out...
My beardie seems to have one of her nostrils clogged. Something dark in color appears to be clogging it and she is having a bit of a struggle breathing, her mouth is open most of the time even when she is not basking as she tries to breathe. She is currently in shed, but that does not look like...
Is it possible for a new bearded dragon to brumate? My female bearded dragon is almost 2 years old, I just got her recently (one month) and she has been lethargic, she's been in her cave for nearly 3 days now not coming out. Is she still adjusting or brumating or is she sick?
I offered her both...
The stick on dial is just for ambient temps in the cold side. I do take basking spot temps with a probe and I also have an infra red temp gun. The basking spot is 100F, cool side is around 85 F yet she doesn't go basking although she feels cold to the touch. She has the basking platform which...
I am having some issues with Summer and wanted to know if this is normal behavior. She is almost 2 years old female. I just got her recently 3 weeks ago.
She is being lethargic, mostly stays in one spot and doesn't go to her basking spot. When she is cold to the touch I put her on her basking...
thanks for the tips. I sometimes put a small amount of greens in her mouth while she is basking with her mouth open and she eats them. Is this okay and does it help make her used to eating greens?
I tried hand feeding, putting some worms on her salad, and mixing some bright colors like different colors of sweet bell pepper, I tried also squash, mustard greens, and celery leaves, but no luck.
Summer, my almost 2 years female bearded dragon is not eating greens. She gets super excited when I feed her superworms and start running towards the worm. I just got her recently (3 weeks ago). I tried many techniques to get her to eat greens but she's just not interested. I am using an arcadia...
Hi All!
My bearded dragon pooped in her bathing water. After I remove the poop and wash it away, then fill it with clean water, is it ok if I add some chlorhexidine to her bathing water for like 5 minutes and then wash her with water only? Thanks
