Product by: Carib Sea
An all natural calcium substrate, ideal for desert dwelling reptiles and arachnids. The naturally spherical grains won’t scratch your valuable animals inside or out! There are no artificial dyes or chemicals in Reptilite™. This low impact substrate also contains strontium and magnesium; while being free of silica and phosphates. Though not intended as a food source or supplement, it is 100% edible and easily digestible. In fact, Reptilite™ is made of aragonite, the most soluble form of calcium carbonate available, allowing reptiles to easily ingest necessary calcium for proper bone development.

Comments: I have been using this product for about two weeks now and I have noticed that it is dying my Beardies feet the same colour as the substrate and making the scales on their seet very smooth. I think it's time to resort to another type of substrate. Other that that I haven't had any other issues.

Comments: I had my beardie for 4 months on sand and he was very active on a regular schedule. 3 days ago i decided to change his sand and purchased a very expensive sand called REPTILITE. This morning, i woke up to find him dead with his tongue covered with Reptilite. This was the only change i had made in his routine. I believe he did become impacted and the Reptilite package claims the particles are "naturally sphyrical" yet when you look closely to the actual product, are very rough around the edges. I know many people use this product without problems, but i believe it is too risky and very deceitful in its advertisement. We will miss you Elliot!
