Deformed dragon - the trouble with translucents

My dragon has a humped spine. I check temps and uvb weekly and dust feeders with reptivite. I got this beautiful creature from a backyard breeder and she appeared normal as a baby. She is a translucent leather back. I have 5 wonderful dragons with the same husbandry and no others have spinal curveature.I would not trade this sweet thing but i suspect she is heavily inbred. I worry about her quality of life. She also looks as if her tail was damaged as a hatchling. She appeared normal (except for the small kink in her tail) until she was about 6 mos old. She was afraid of Everything (including "scary wax worms and blueberries") and i have enjoyed many hours earning her trust. She used to hide 24/7 but now begs to come out whenever she sees me. I originally thought her hump was from hiding instead of basking.- but now i just think that is how she is made. Be careful when getting leatherback translucents!

Thank you for replying! I noticed the "hump" at about 6 mos old. I worried it looked like MBD bought uv tester and thermometer gun and everything appears to be in the proper ranges I was worried i didnt dust feeders enough then worried i dusted them too much. She is not as big as she should be and she is not as active as normal dragons. The hump seems to hinder her more than i think MBD would after any husbandry mistakes were corrected. She doesnt have much appetite. I coax her with crickets and superworms (in addition to salad and food pellets) by hand every morning. Her stomache is round but her fat pads and tail are a little thinner than I would like. I blocked the hides and turned her light to an angle because she kept trying (successfully) to sit on top of it or hide instead of basking.She is sweet little thing and I am grateful for any advice!

Hi. What is the brand of the uvb ? Is it a T8 or T5? Is there a way you can hang it above and not from the side?

It's possible that all the time she spent hiding kept her from getting proper uvb and that caused the hump/curve. Or it may be a combo of both lack of uvb [ from hiding ' as well as genetics. Transluscent dragons are more problematic than leatherbacks. Leatherbacks are healthy + hardy, trans. dragons had a bad start in many collections. Thankfully you've taken good care of her and the deformity is not too bad.

I agree with AHBD, it could be from the hiding. But I am not exactly sure.

It is most likely a combination of inbreeding/genetics, as well as possibly not spending enough
time underneath of her light earlier on when she was growing rapidly.
The calcium that you use, does it have D3 or is it without D3?
She is very pretty, & appears very alert as well!
