My daughter has her beardie in reptile take that she keeps locked. Well today we both came home to find rank open n beardie on window seal. We think cat somehow got tank open. Thus is 1st time happened. Now her beardie is very stressed n won't sit still like use to, and he keeps getting a black chin. So I assuming cat may been In tank and so wondering what suggestions anyone may have to help beardie feel safe in own tank??

Keep the cat away from the dragon PERIOD!! The cat has stressed the dragon out - its going to take some time for him to calm down ---

Maybe a better lock so the cat can't get into it again? Sorry, I'm new to herp care myself and this is not a problem I've had to consider, so I have no idea if they actually make locks for tanks. Maybe like one of those child safety things?

What kind of enclosure are you using? Some of the ones with front opening doors allow for a cable lock that can be used to keep the latch closed (ExoTerra has this). If you have a top opening enclosure, then weighing down the top with a heavy frame of some sort may be helpful in preventing the lid from being pried open.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
