Thank you for the feedback. I will leave them for now. I would only clip them if it was good for him. Somewhere I read that if you let them get too long, they curl under and pose a health risk, but if that's not an issue then I can deal with it... but will take your advice to add more hard...

I have an 8 mos old beardie, Mordecai. He is very tame, but those nails.. man, they are sharp!! Is it okay to clip them? If so, what is the best technique? Here is the currrent state of his nails before I do something about it (He did not approve this post... :lol: )

I recently had a huge health scare with my 10 year old beardie Zirth. It appeared his intestines or some organ had prolapsed out his butt flap. After giving him a warm bath and securing his butt to a wet sponge overnight (because the area needed to be kept moist), I drove him to the Animal ER...

It's not bleeding, and he doesn't react when i touch it. Thank you Cammy for the tip about the betadine solution. I will try that for a few days and see if it improves. Poor lil guy!

I'm growing increasingly concerned about Zirth's tail. A few weeks ago i noticed it was about half-an-inch shorter than it used to be. At first I thought it was my imagination, but last weekend my mom confirmed the observation. Unfortunately I can't pinpoint when or where it happened. He was...
