    Vacation enclosure

I never thought about using those! I feel like reptile-branded domes are just so low quality.

    Vacation enclosure

Would he really be okay in a 20 gallon? I just felt bad because it's for an entire week and he won't be able to free roam in the Airbnb.

    Vacation enclosure

We're going on a week-long vacation in a few months and I have no choice but to take my ~10 month old boy Goetta with us. I've been scouring the internet for ideas on travel enclosures, but I'm seeing a lot of mixed responses. One option would be a large storage bin, which I already have one...

    Swollen toe/leg

We didn't do any blood work because he felt pretty confident it wasn't gout. If we don't see improvement then I guess we'll do a panel.

    Swollen toe/leg

We just left the vet and he doesn't believe it's gout. He's pretty positive he's developed some sort of infection because he can see and feel it starting to move up his leg. We've got him on ceftazidime. I'll update as we go in case this thread could help someone in the future!

    Swollen toe/leg

The UVB is 10 inches from the top of his nose when he's on that decor. I'm cutting the dubia completely for the next week.

    Swollen toe/leg

He's been heavily fed dubia roaches. I had heard they could cause gout but I assumed it was only in older beardies that spent a lifetime eating them. I've got some tart cherry extract I'm gonna put on his salad. He just finished a body shed and is about to start another tail shed. He gets...

    Swollen toe/leg

Goetta is about 5ish months old. He's very active, eats well, and poops well. I noticed last week he had what looked like a swollen toe. Today I was examining him after his shed and I noticed a size difference in both his back legs. At first I thought his leg was swollen so I started freaking...

Beardie only wants to syringe feed

I've had Goetta since November 2nd and it's been a whirlwind. He's still a lil baby and he had some pretty gnarly parasites which caused him to stop eating. While being treated I've been syringe feeding him oxbow crit care with a bug slurry to keep him nourished. He's made a tremendous recovery...

    Possible stargazing? Advice please!

Oh my god wait is that real? The timeline would line up with when I put the camera in there. It's worth a try for sure. I do think he is actually sick with something, but the camera may be having an affect on his stress levels!

    Possible stargazing? Advice please!

She was never ever to walk from birth because her back legs didn't function at all. And when she started producing her first clutch, her right side was producing eggs fine but her left side wasn't at all. Then I noticed the eggs were actually forming INSIDE her thigh. Her reproductive system was...

    Possible stargazing? Advice please!

I can try running a spare lower watt bulb in my left lamp to see if he perks up a little. Something's making him want to avoid the basking area so I need to figure out what's spooking him. My last girl left in such a traumatic way that this little man has me worried sick. I have a camera in his...

    Possible stargazing? Advice please!

She had a disability that affected her reproductive organs not forming properly and was unable to pass her first clutch of eggs. She wasn't sick that I know of. I took him to a vet yesterday and he thought it could be parasites but we're just waiting on him to poop.

    Possible stargazing? Advice please!

No it's just like a little unit that sits there. I don't know how to describe it lol. And I did move the uvb higher recently cause I was scared it was too close and was overwhelming him. I might move it a tad bit higher and see if it helps him want to venture onto his perch again.
