    Desperate Newbie...

It's ok. He is just so darn cute, sometimes you want to give in. Plus since we have already had to syringe feed him, I hope to not have to do that again as it only adds to his level of stress...

    Desperate Newbie...

Yeah, I think it was stress related. I know he doesn't seem to like crickets at all. He doesn't chase them, he actually runs away from them (even the teeny tiny pinhead sized ones). He does chase dubia roaches, but he doesn't eat them. He has eaten 1-2 phoenix worms here and there (we offer...

    Desperate Newbie...

Well I am sure my stress and worrying isn't helping anyone lol I'm just going to try the hands off approach for a few days and see how that goes. As long as we still have poop and pee, I'm going to try not bothering him except to put in food, water and clean.

    Desperate Newbie...

Yes. He poops once a day almost at the same time. I know they can cause an impaction if they are fed too many. But the 2 smalls he has eaten in nearly 2 weeks won't hurt him.

    Desperate Newbie...

This is like my 4th or 5th post about my problem baby beardie. My husband and I got our baby bearded nearly 2 weeks ago (Friday). On day 1 he had a cricket and a small superworm. Day 2 he ate almost nothing. Day 3 and 4 he ate 10ish crickets and 2 small mealworms. Day 5 thru 7 he ate...

    Building a New Enclosure.....

Well we moved Chewie over to his new setup because he was not eating in his small 10 gal tank. I had originally thought that maybe he couldn't chase the crickets because it was too crowded and he didn't want to have to maneuver around things, but as it turns out, I think he is just a very very...

    What am I doing wrong......

The he is on shelf liner now. The loose substrate (which was crushed walnut shells) only lasted 1 day. It was messy and few everywhere when we took him out so we swapped it for the shelf liner

    What am I doing wrong......

Well when we got Chewie we were told he was 2 months. After doing some research and some measurements, we think he was only 4-5 weeks when we got him. His body (nose to base of tail) is about 3 inches. His tail is long and skinny, about 4.5-5 inches. We dialed back the temperature on the...

    What am I doing wrong......

So Chewie has not been eating. He will stay on his rock or branch all day basking. He will drink water from his bowl and during bath time and he will even drink it off his rock and branch if you drip some on there while he basks. We had him in a 10 gal tank to start since he is so small (and I...

    UVB mounting help

I had a lot of great advice from Todd @ Lightyourreptiles.com. I really wanted an Arcadia 12% fixture. It is going to be about $120 soo that will have to wait until next week (we have a 55gal tank, so we need a huge fixture/bulb). he said that With those bulbs, you will have no problem...

Question About feeding my bearded dragon

We just picked up our baby last week. Chewies body is about 3 inches, and tail is another 5 or so. He was supposedly 8 weeks old, but we think he is closer to 5-6 weeks, OR was very stressed when moved to the pet store, and didn't eat much. With that being said, now that he has settled in he...
