Did you get this bearded dragon from a rescue or rescue it yourself? If you adopted from a rescue, they should have documentation from a vet explaining her current condition.
As far as gaining trust, you can try leaving a worn shirt in her enclosure so she gets accustomed to your scent. You can...
Eye issues and eye infections are sadly very common in leopard geckos but I don't see how it would lead to the shaky/jerking walking I see in the video but it's worth mentioning to the vet.
In leopard geckos you can see straight through their ear holes so while ear infections can cause...
I'm here :)
I agree that a vet visit with a qualified herp vet is the next step. Luckily, she doesn't seem to be in pain or disorientated so I wouldn't bring her to an emergency vet unless her condition gets significantly worse before your regular appointment.
While I also am on the fence...
Looks like a healthy, plump leopard gecko there!
In regards to not eating the crickets, some leopard geckos can be picky about their food and enjoy some variety and some just aren't great hunters (maybe the crickets are a bit too fast). You could try offering other feeders like meal worms...
As others mentioned, he'll be stressed from the move regardless so it's better to get him into an appropriate enclosure with UVB, lights, etc. instead of trying to do it slowly.
Would recommend covering three sides of his enclosure and keeping him in a quiet spot for awhile to hopefully reduce...
Imagine the "owner" (and I say that lightly) is looking for a decent amount of money with this line "email me your best offer!" and it might be difficult to convince him the dragon needs a good, experienced home. Concerned with how much the spine is showing through :?
Despite a second round of antibiotics, Saya is still displaying signs of a RI though they are not as pronounced as they were before but she continues to gap when she's not basking and has excess mucus in her mouth. We will be consulting the vet soon as to our next course of action.
Regardless...
Can you describe the lighting and the temps of the enclosure (cool side, warm side, and basking)?
Is your beardie in a busy part of your household? Especially being young, a lot of active and strange figures could cause stress marks.
10 years old is getting up there in age for leopard geckos so she might be slowing down naturally to some degree.
How much weight has she lost? I would continue with live food if possible if you can get her to eat it versus getting her onto baby food (leos can be stubborn on what they like). I...
Thanks!
Not all do. Some will hold on to them forever and others will throw them seemingly at random. I have two that came to me without tails and the one crestie I've had since he was a tiny baby still has his so it really depends.
It can happen easily but it isn't a medical emergency when they drop their tails usually. Mostly they drop it when startled as a defense mechanism so to try to prevent that from happening house them individually and try not to grab them or make sudden movements when trying to handle them.
Even...
I'm in Holbrook which is about 25 minutes South of Boston. Haven't been to Springfield in awhile but believe you're about an hour to an hour and a half from me.
