    Zak-n-Wheezie the 2-Headed Bearded Dragon(s) RIP APR 4/16

Z'n'W did incredibly well with Barbara's dedicated care and immense love. Gutted to hear they've passed on, and my heart to all. They will always be a great inspiration.

    Help!!

He's definitely in better shape than some of the dragons I've had - that's always a good start. If you haven't already, a shallow, warm bath for 20 minutes would certainly help. Keep a very close eye to make sure he doesn't nod off - you don't want him breathing in water. If you can get hold...

    Butt wiggle?

Well, no idea what the butt wiggle was about. She did a LOT of furious digging, though no eggs appeared when I had a dig through the substrate. Either she didn't have eggs to start with (and was practising digging) or she might have eaten them. _shrugs_ She's a lot lighter than I'd like still...

    Zak-n-Wheezie the 2-Headed Bearded Dragon(s) RIP APR 4/16

If Barbara takes paypal, I'm happy to send across a couple of dollars; big fans of Z'n'W over here :0

    Butt wiggle?

Much appreciated Coops. I know I'm a worrywort. I love my scaly heroes. :)

    Butt wiggle?

We've had a few rescues with severe malnutrition - she's in pretty good nick besides being a bit on the small side and lighter than I'd like. The activity is literally identical to male-self-stimulation wriggles. I'm wondering if she just laid a couple of eggs somewhere in the box, only...

    Butt wiggle?

So, I've got a rescue in - I'm told four years old, though rather small and has been poorly/incorrectly fed for at least two years before I was called in. Appears to be female: no raised femoral pores, flirts with boys on sight, only one faint central genital bump at the base of the tail, and...

    Beardie fat/swollen neck?

Very welcome. Better to check it out than risk a problem :)

    Is my beard or healthy?

We feed our big adult dragons locusts, pachnoda grubs and butterworms with waxworms and morios for treats - staple, they get spring greens, chicory, kale, butternut squash, Nature Zone Beardie Bites and sometimes lamb's lettuce or spinach, and occasionally include a variety of fruits :)...

trouble seeing and/or not very smart

Hyphen really, really likes to climb. He's got no self-preservation/danger instincts, so keeping close care is essential - his favourite thing is my net curtains! We built a mesh "shelf", a swing, a hammock, a climbing log and a suspended parallel branch for him to play on - though most of the...

    Soon-To-Be-Beardie Mom!

I wouldn't worry about trying to keep them together - it's easier and safer to have separate tanks; reduces disease and stress risks, and it's easier to handle a problem if one arises. I have six (actually seven, but SHHH number seven is a secret - a sudden rescue that my Hubby is spinning as a...

4-5 month old bearded dragon not eating!

Sounds pretty good to me - what're you using UV wise? Yup, less eating generally means less poopin'. :) I've heard people call water "go-juice" - it perks a beardie up. It certainly can't hurt to have a soak :)

    Sleep patterns

Mocha brumates about four times a year :P Tsam tends to take naps these days, so I'm suspecting it's an age thing, though I've not a huge base of reference to go on so far - he's my oldest at 7 years old.

    Little Foot Acting Up/Weird

Sounds to me like an "EEK!" moment, that you might have given him a little scare; Diamc is more experienced than I am though - did he stick his arms out forwards when you picked him up?

    Scale for weighing

I use a jeweller's scale - if you park your dragon in an insect container, and rest it on the plate, it'll do the job just great. Remember to zero out the container weight first :)
