Hello, this is the picture of the enclosure: The temperature is on the post, the height of the aquarium is around 16". The distance of the hammock is around 5-6", he usually sits on the log which is around 7-8" far from the highest heat point.

Just because he passed the hard part doesn't mean there won't be anything that's coming. ANY kind of surgery will have a post-surgery effects on your body. It may be all sorts of stuff. Could be that the pain dampeners wore off and couldn't endure it. Could be that the surgery was too huge...

My beardie is still scared, I've done hand feeding for 2 weeks. Though I usually leave my hand out of the tank after handing the food to him directly. I've tried petting him while he's idle, but usually ends up hissing. I've read that I shouldn't stop when he hissed but he finally chomped me...

My beardie does that when he got the itch. Normally during shedding, in my case.
