There is hope out there for dragons who don't eat

another tip -> i over-cook veggies in the microwave, blend it up into as much of a paste as i can manage, and force feed through a syringe (after adding calcium/vd supplement of course). my beardie does a lot better through the winter stubbornness with that strategy.

    What is your Daily Routine

just in case you're not aware, while infrared rays and light will go through a window, UV rays will not.

1/4 urate is yellow, remind me what this means?

yellow means less hydrated as far as i know. but it doesn't seem that bad if only a bit of it is yellow and the rest is white, it's more concerning if most of the urates are yellow or orange. another poster can correct me if i'm wrong.

    layboxes, pooping, and parasites

I thought my female beardie might be digging around because she wants to lay some eggs so i made her a laybox in her enclosure (vermiculite and soil). yesterday while i was at work she climbed into it, pooped, and then went back out i guess. it's been about half a week with the laybox around and...

what sand and other substrates are great for beardies

definitely, just make sure to keep it clean. carpet ends/scraps from a carpet store might be cheaper. make sure to clean items before putting them in the enclosure as well =D sorry to derail the thread but i saw this and i really want to ask you (or others!) about the digging. mine moves piles...

what sand and other substrates are great for beardies

i dunno if the sand i got is hurting my dragon or not....but i really do not recommend it as a substrate. i really regret my purchase, and i wish i had started my research before getting that new substrate. (i bought reptile calcium sand that clumps from the pet store, i didn't know better at...

How often can/should I give Miss Lennon a bath?

i think it's good to use a larger bath, like the tub, if the beardie likes to swim and move around. my seymour is super lazy so i use the sink, i might swap to the bathtub if he gets more active in the water.

talking about my viv, suggestions on light/heat/structures?

I adopted a 4-5 year old beardie a week ago, and I'm slowly trying to make his a home a better place. i do a ton of research online but there are some things websites can't tell you. most importantly, viv design for people living in colder climates. this is what i have the most trouble with...
