    Strange way to stand?

She didn't like when I tried to mess with them, but otherwise she's perfectly fine with them. Thanks for the help - I really just wasn't sure what it was. I'll suggest the changes, and I'm sure she'll be fine.

    Strange way to stand?

Not that I know of. No curved spine, no wavy tail, no underbite, no jerking, no swelling. Just the weird wrists. The house is chilly, and I can see she'd tried to help the temps by putting tin foil on top of the cages to keep heat in. I will say she doesn't seem to move much - She was cold when...

    Strange way to stand?

I completely agree with you, but unfortunately I'm only pet sitting til Sunday and I don't necessarily want to step on any toes. So should I suggest a second low temp heat lamp on the cool side and switch the UVB to a normal fluorescent fixture?

    Strange way to stand?

I cannot find my scale anywhere, so I don't have a weight on her. She's about 14", though, and pretty fat. Basking spot - 110-127 degrees F. Cool side - 64 degrees F UV and ceramic heat emitter about 3" from her basking spot. UV - Reptisun 10.0 CLF (no idea when last replaced) Tank has...

    Strange way to stand?

I'm pet sitting for someone with 2 bearded dragons, and I noticed her girl stands strangely on both front feet. At first I only saw one and assumed her crazy kids had accidentally broken it, but both being strange might have a cause. I tried straightening one to see if she could, but it seems...

    Stunted Growth?

I'm sure in some cases they could be arrested/fined, but I didn't report the previous owners here. I found them on Craigslist, and, realistically, all their other animals (about half a dozen reptiles, 2 pugs and a new litter of pugs) were all in great shape. It was only the beardies I adopted...

    Just Brumation or Something More?

No noticeable weight loss. Even seems to have gained some between my last weighing and the vet. I've been aware of the black bearding. Probably twice in the past month, where he had no cause for black bearding. My roommate joked that he has nightmares or works himself up thinking.

    Just Brumation or Something More?

My beardie, Soul Patch, has been acting wonky lately. I can understand if he's going through brumation, but I just want to make sure that's it. He sleeps a lot more - if I don't pull him out of his hide, he'll stay there forever. If I wake him, he's lazy but himself. When he is out...

    Bloody Stool?

I'm moving about 6 hours away from here. I cancelled my vet appt for today, made one at the new place for the 29th, and will be continuing the Reptaid and watching closely until the appt.

    Stunted Growth?

She gets either 10 mini supers or 3 small dubia 4-5x per week, depending what I have. I have 2 picky dragons (one eats only greens, the other only sweets like squash) so the veggies do vary pretty regularly. I have a reptisun 10.0 uvb at the moment. Only an 18", so I'll be upgrading that when...

    Bloody Stool?

UPDATE: vet reported no parasites in his stool. I have a tentative appt with them tomorrow. Unfortunately, since I'm moving, I won't be able to pick up meds out anything if needed. Should I wait to make an appt with a new vet when I'm moved, or find out now? Would a blood test be a good idea?

    Bloody Stool?

Well that's good, because I was convinced he had a respiratory infection even though the only sign I saw was the gaping, and trust me, I watched and listened closely. Buffalo was ridiculous. I think we got about 8" that night. Funny that only an hour away was getting pummeled.

    Bloody Stool?

from the day I got him in June, he has never gone to the bathroom more than 1x a week. I thought he might have a respiratory infection since he has been gaping pretty often when he couldn't be hot (hanging out outside the tank). Other than that, no strange behavior. We've had two big snows, but...

    Bloody Stool?

Honestly with moving this weekend, I've already packed the infrared thermometer up somewhere. I don't believe the temps have dropped below 75 anywhere in the tank, and in all reality, he spends most of his time on the warm side, which held fast at 95-100 from sept to early Dec (so I would...

    2 Emaciated Juveniles - Advice?

UPDATE: Rockabella is still nervous, but now it's more jumping than biting. Always a good sign. She is up to about 400g, and still gaining. Picky eater though - absolutely refuses greens, but loves butternut squash, and no, squash baby food on the greens simply isn't good enough for this...
