dragon and enclosure - Hanover, MA

Hi, I unfortunately have to get rid of my dragon, her name is Scuba and I have had her since she was a baby in February of 2010. She comes with the enclosure which is a 56 gallon corner tank that has a 160 watt UVB light and heat light for night time. The tank has plywood sides covered with...

    Phoenix worm Media?

I bought way to many phoenix worms and they are not going as fast as I expected. They are still alive and look good but the media they came in is getting nasty. Does anyone know what this is and if there is something else I can put them in? I sent an email to the place I bought them to see if I...

he seems to like it in the middle of the lights hes never really directly under either light. Due to the size and height of the tank the UVB lights up the entire tank, the basking light was added to raise the temps. Is the UVB only beneficial directly beneath the bulb? I'll re-arrange things...

thanks for the tip, I'll have to straighten it out. The directions for the bulb say it should be at least 18" away, its the 160 watt one. right now it is about 19" to the rock under it but the temp only gets to the high 80s, thats why I added the basking bulb. Will it do him any harm if he goes...

yes that is him on the wall. He keeps going up there and gets too close to the MVB bulb, the temp on his basking rock is 109 so I'm not sure what it is doing. I tilted the MVB a little so it is pointed away from the wall and he is not going there as often.

    does anyone keep roaches outside?

I want to start a colony for my new little guy but do not have a good place to do so. My house does not have a basement or a garage and my tank is in the dining room, I really do not want to put a roach colony in there. I do have a large shed/ workshop but it is unheated and I am located in MA...
