Baby Beardie that wont eat bugs, what to do?

So, I killed and hand fed Pringles (that's his name) three crickets last night before he realized what was going on. Wasn't great but it was a start. He still guzzled down his baby food tonight. I will keep trying the bugs. Does anyone know.. is chicken a bad for of protein for them? Seems to me...

Baby Beardie that wont eat bugs, what to do?

I also thought to myself today.. what if I put the crickets to sleep in the freezer for a few minutes. When I get home tonight I will try these things and let you know how it goes!

Baby Beardie that wont eat bugs, what to do?

Someone suggested to me today.. the freeze dried crickets.. so I thought I would give that a try. I have some on hand.. as a treat for my uromastyx like once a month. I know I'm a bad mommy and he shouldn't have any at all.. but he loves crunchy things so much.. so I let him have two whenever I...

Baby Beardie that wont eat bugs, what to do?

So I adopted a roughly two month old baby beardie with three crunchy black legs that didn't work at all. He had to scoot himself along with just his left arm. He couldnt chase bugs, he was begining to get weak from lack of nutrition. I syringe fed him reptiboost and soaked him frequently. He...

    Uromastyx

Captive bred uros are much easier to transition and usually have more amiable personalities. Ornate uros that you find should be captive bred. I have a wild caught Moroccan and hes ok. He will lick our hands.. and take food from us.. but he does not like being picked up.. and all he does all day...

    Taming

Your attemps to tame no name.. could eventually kill him. I responded to your previous post.. where I said you need to leave him completely alone for a few months.. then slowly start to bribe him with thawed frozen peas. Has he started eating yet? With most pets.. handling helps.. with your uro...

    Please look this over!

sorry, i should have said.. the belly wiggle is him getting ready to smack you with his tail.. and that can hurt.

    Please look this over!

your temps sound ok, if you could raise the hot side ambient temp to 100 that would be better.. the belly wiggle is him telling you to get the heck away.. they can hide for WEEKS at first.. the set up looks ok.. but I would avoid the moss and top soil.. If you want something he can dig or burrow...

    Axolotl love!

I really want one of those.. but don't you need a chiller to keep them? I haven't seriously looked into it yet just because I assume a chiller would be expensive.

Actually.. Petsmarts "fancy" dragons can have any number of interesting morphs. I have seen leather backs.. a silk back, red dragons, pastel dragons, and citrus dragons.

    Questions need answering??

A 100w lightbulb wasnt hot enough to heat my beardie in her 40g breeder. Really just depends on the house you have for your uro and the distance from the basking spot. I use a 80w halogen outdoor flood lamp for Gordos basking spot. Uros can have peas.. not sure why you would want to boil them...

    Traveling questions

Honestly.. uros do not take to relocation stress well. If at all possible I would leave the uro in his/her own enclosure. I have a two week vacation coming up next month.. and someone offered to watch my uro for me. Although that would be great because someone would be there for him all the...
