Thank you, everyone, for your help. I looked at several websites and talked to many petstore people and other owners of beardies. Thought I was doing right by Sparta.

He loves the heat rock and the heating pad that’s on the couch sometimes. Weird. I’ll go get rid of the sand tomorrow. The UVB is installed. No more night blue light. I’m shocked he’s lived this long with everything being so wrong. He sees the vet on the 3rd for a check up.

He has his cave which also has an area to climb on which he does. His heating rock is in the corner and then he has a ladder that he climbs to get on his hammock.

More decor, like what? He had a water/pool, but never goes near it, so took it out.

Oh and I usually have aluminum foil over the top screen that’s not pouching lights to help keep the heat in

Thanks everyone. Yes, he is still in his cage. I went and got a digital thermometer… it’s 95 in his cage. About 90 in his cave. When I take him out he sits and stays under the hammock mostly then will go back into his cage. I have the new UV light that we are installing to replace the other...
