I got the letter, but haven't heard anything since. Getting pretty ridiculous, they need to get that **** in people's hand asap. This whole thing is doing some serious damage to their once good rep.

...and I have found that a three foot enclosure is too small. Gobi takes a dump and can't get away from it. Thus he freaks out and runs all over the cage getting lizard pooh everywhere. I also have a real hard time making a good heat gradient. It's so small that all the lights end up being too...

Has anyone heard from ReptileUV lately? I ordered two Megarays on July 22nd and have yet to receive them. I've tried getting in touch with John numerous times on email and tried calling today. I just want to know when to expect them! Absolutely no response. So my dragon has been sitting...

Heh, my roaches eat through one of those cans in a couple days. I did mix a can in with my latest batch of chow though. :D

Yeah, I made a new batch of roach chow to see if that's the problem. I also doubled the size of the bin I'm keeping them in. Once things got warm I had a population explosion and the overcrowding probably wasn't helping. So far the new bin is working out well, the smell seems to have subsided...

My colony is doing quite well, numbers wise. But in the past month I have noticed them getting really smelly. Smells sort of like stinky feet and garbage mixed together, and it's getting worse. I've cleaned the bin a couple times now so I know it's not a cleanliness problem. The colony is doing...

So I ordered 500 superworms from Great Lakes HW, and Gobi has absolutely no interest in eating them. I'd hate to see them go to waste. Any dragon/reptile owners in Orange County want them? You can have them free, just have to come to Lake Forest to pick them up. They are gone.

You shouldn't have to mist as long as you are keeping a full bowl (or two) or water crystals in the bin all the time. Misting runs the risk of mold and will make the bin much more odorous.

Overpopulation would take a LONG time...I don't find them too hard to care for, but they do require some maintenance. If you are just wanting to grab worms out of a cup and toss 'em in, then yeah dubias may not work for you...but constantly buying worms will ultimately be more expensive.

Hahah, wait until she gets a wiff of them. Even Mike Rowe on Dirty Jobs almost tossed his cookies after taking a wiff in the cricket breeders bins.

Crickets aren't cheap. They require a lot of maintenance to keep they're reek down. They die very easily and are escape artists. I would look into alternatives like dubias.
