Thanks for the link! I'll definitely look into it. It just seems odd that it would have to be so close. If the Reptisun 5 is even less powerful wouldn't that mean it would have to be even closer than 6" to 8"? Thanks, Savannah

Hmm, well that was just one person's opinion on how far away the bulb should be so I'll have to look more into it. From looking around the forums most people say anywhere from 6" to 18". That is a huge gap in distance!

Thanks for the quick response!! When he is sleeping on me I actually have a toasty warm heated throw over us. Its amazing how as soon as I set him on my stomach and put the blanket over him he falls asleep almost immediatly.
